Why would you do something like this to such a promising franchise?

Exactly what I hoped it would be. I've been waiting my whole life for a great RPG set in the HP universe, and this delivers.

I have to be honest, I was very excited for this game as someone who likes detective/mystery games. From the moment I started I found the game to be very slow, and I didn't find many of the characters interesting. The class trials are definitely the highlights of the game, but they are so far and few between, and compared to other courtroom games I find them to be very underwhelming. I will pick it back up at some point and continue to see if it gets more interesting, but from my first 8 hours I've been very disappointed.

I love this game, but the bugs of this DLC make it unplayable. Take the arcade for instance. I gambled, and suddenly I had infinite money. Hopefully the dev sees and fixes this, because the game itself is very powerful.

Sad to see this game lose traction so early.

The game is great! However currently there is a game breaking bug where the game will drop to unplayable frames and require you to reinstall your nVidia drivers. It happens probably once a day and makes the experience so much more frustrating.

Fantastic experience. The game can be unforgiving at times, you only end up winning around 1/5 runs. There's a few bugs if you play in any other resolution than 1080p it will constantly try to reset to 1080 which can be quite annoying. The game itself is great though, hopefully this issue will be addressed soon.

Played through this game and got one of the four endings. While the game can be entertaining at first, I really cannot recommend that you buy this game. There are multiple reasons for this. The first being the overall quality feeling of the game... The game feels like a half-assed itch.io game. I don't know if the developers knew what they had in mind when they made the game, but the end product turned out to be a mess. The currency system feels unbalanced, the needs of your family are not difficult enough to make the game challenging, they only require you to do some really basic minigames over and over again to grind the stats, really distracting from the actual game, and very annoying. When I wasn't trying to keep up with the family needs I just found myself running around the town looking for jobs to do. The jobs were always the same, "talk to this person, then talk to me" "Pick up thing from here and deliver it there". No variety whatsoever. It just got really really boring.

When you actually get to the end of the game it's really just confusing, but not in a good way. It takes away the "realistic" feel that the game has tried to build up as you played, and decides to do some weird wizard of oz style bs. It feels cheap and boring, like they didn't really feel like putting any effort into it.

The feeling I end up with after playing this game is just "why???". This game doesn't really have any real purpose except for going around collecting money and making sure your family doesn't die. That's it. The characters are unoriginal, the fights are not satisfying or fun, and the game looks like it was a one man project for a 72 hour long game-jam. If the game was free then I guess maybe it would be worth playing around with if you're really really bored? But since it isn't, stay away at all costs.
