So far this game has amazed me. I've only experienced a few issues, mostly cut scenes where my character is colliding with another. Game only crashed once, in a battle in the underdark so I must say I am quite impressed. I've never played d&d before (although would love to!), nor have I played previous BG games. Coming from having played DOS2, there are definitely some similarities but a lot of differences too. I wasn't sure how I was going to find the roll system but it actually makes things interesting as I found in DOS2 that I put soo many points into persuasion that I was almost always guaranteed to succeed in it.
As for the combat, I found it more difficult to begin with and had a hard time adjusting mid way through and particularly in the goblin camps. However, I began to develop more of an understanding as I progressed and found it much easier to place my players in strategic positions.
Companions... I ended up with Astarion, Lae'zel and Gale in my party. Even though I played in a way that had Lae'zel disappointed with my choices, she was definitely powerful in battle. Never going to forget her conversation after the party at camp... still laughing.

Honestly so excited for when this gets fully released and I hope that Larian takes the time they need to perfect it. My pretty player drow shall be remembered, even though I won't get to play them through the full game.
Now to decide what to do with all those random weapons, mugs and spoons my character picked up...

It may be a very old game now but it will forever be my favourite. I played this on the xbox classic as a child and would never stop playing it. Defenitly reccomend this!
