Scratched my itch for a city builder/resource gathering/combat recently! Picked it up on the tail of the summer sale and I've somehow already played almost 42 hours of it already haha. I love having the freedom to just build my own settlement though I wish there were more decorative in game items. Combat seems pretty harsh but considering the game premise I'm not surprised. Overall I'm enjoying this game and I'm excited for its future!

Nice to see the roadmap and that there was just an update today, can't wait for the later stuff!

I was expecting this to be another MMORPG to try but I honestly fell in love with the entire game from soundtrack to storyline- and most especially the class system (Armoury System). I've always been conflicted with being stuck with one char per class as with other MMOs but FFXIV brought something entirely different and now I play all of them on a single character with relatively few restrictions 500+ hours in. Strictly speaking with MMOs, I usually just play the damage dealing classes but this game made me fall in love with the tank and healer roles as well- which was entirely surprising. Crafting? I've always found it to be dreary but playing as a Disciple of Hand (crafters) makes you really want to level them all to 50 too. All in all, I've enjoyed so many aspects of FFXIV: ARR and I would recommend it to any MMORPG gamer and even more so for Final Fantasy fans.

Basically a space version of Civ- highly recommended if you enjoy RTS games and somehow wonder how your entire day passed
