The first of the computer generation. Archon with my brother on the Atari 400. Zork and Ultima on the 286, Ultima II, Kings Quest, Police Quest, Gunship 2000 and on from the hallowed keyboard of the 386DXII with 5 1/2 floppies. Grew up with adults saying that nothing good would come of playing video games, much like I imagine the previous generation was hearing from their parents about rock and roll, AC/DC and the like. I turned out ok and still enjoy a good game, although unlike the early days, I am much more measured in what I buy and when I buy it. I can still appreciate the days when a 'computer game' was a text only program that required you to REALLY use your imagination and also required a VERY specific direction in order to advance things along. Kids these days have it SO easy.
