After reading the reviews and purchasing this game I decided that I need to add my two cents to the reviews. It's a great little game to play if you don't like having to move around very much in VR yes it's a rail game however there are still lots of surprises along those rails and a couple of little challenges together as well.

I don't understand why people give this game a negative review.
, all my friends enjoy playing it I enjoy playing it so therefore it has my thumbs up what a great little game well done to developers

If you enjoy the F1 franchise then buy this game. It's a game, it's challenging and also fun. But still a game.

18 hours into the game. Some time spent in SP as well as MP.

This game is very similar to project cars, however the cars and tracks in PC2 are just that much more polished. Everything just works, from the GUI to racetrack its all good.

I have spent a few hours playing other titles such as Assetto Corser, Automobilista and RRRE and now I can see myself playing many more hours in this game.

This feels like PC2 has finally made itself into a game that I want to play.

See ya round the racetrack.

60 Hours in game update:

I love it. Lately I have been spending my time between these three games Assetto Corser, RaceRoom Racing Experience and of course PC2.

I honestly don't know which one I like best. PC2 is fun to play, competitive has great sound and graphics and I just keep coming back for more.

80 Hours in:

Since they have added more options for online competative racing it's made a great game even better.

Running a dedcated sever is tricky however once you get the gist of how to configure it then its really easy to set up and use. I prefer the dedicated server setup in R3E.

I first tried R3E a while ago and I have to say that at the time I wasn't really that impressed with it. I didn't like the way the game played or the way it made you purchase cars and tracks seperately. From what I can remember I also found it very difficult to play. Now fast forward to today and I now have a completely new perspective on the game. I don't know if its just because the game has been updated and made better or wether I just got better at driving (mind you I put about 600 hours into Assetto in the mean time so its more than likely I just couldn't drive it well to begin with). Now I actually really like the idea that you are able to purchase only the cars and tracks that you want to race, which means you only pay for what you use. I still think the price is a little too steep, compared to other titles, if you want to purchase all the cars and tracks.

I have only played a small amount of single player but as far as I can tell the AI behave themselves for the most part. Has all the usual singleplayer options like hotlap and being able to create a custom event.

The multiplayer communty is like most others. I have come accross players that just want to cause havoc and ruin it for everyone else and also players that are there to race and be competitive and have fun. For the most part I have come accross people who are keen to race. One big downfall of the multiplayer game is there is no way to kick or vote to kick nuisance players however I think its something that is being worked on.

I would say R3E is a must have for those who are serious about thier racing and also for those who are willing to put in the hours it takes to master.

AFTER APPROX 8 HOURS GAMEPLAY

1. Look, Feel and GUI.
. The way the GUI is set out is very intuative. It does not takc long for you to get used to the menu. Everything is at your fingertips. I actually like the way it is set up. Although the game looks and feels a little bit dated it still up there with Assetto and PC,

2. The racing.
. Very very hard learning curve. Once you get it though it's hard to race anything else. It just looks, feels like you are driving a race car. This game is not for the faint hearted. (will add more content here soon)

3. Singleplayer. (will add more content here soon)

4. Multiplayer. (will add more content here soon)

BE YE WARNED! C.H. is very addictive. At first I wasn't too sure about how much of a challenge it would be, however after playing for a few hours it really began to grow on me. Now I just have to reach the next level and it never ends. Really surprised me just how addicted to C.H. I have become. Free game nice.

After playing the game for a few hours, single and multiplayer offline/online I have come to the conclusion that this game is awesome!.

The big pluses for me are the following:

1. The sound 5.1 is amazing.
2. The menu. At first I wasn't sure but now I love it. Very easy to navigate.
3. The options in the Gameplay, graphics, HUD, career I could go on an on. They make you game experience a breeze.

10/10 for me. Great game.

ADDIT:

Have now played it for 20 hours+ and I am still loving it. The only thing that bugs me is occasionally it crashes and also sometimes in single player I have to restart the race as I have now control over the cars.

Apart fro that I still give this game a big thumbs up. keep up the good work.

Also the online racing community is really nice. Players seem to play sensibly.

Early Access Review
After playing around with a few racing arcade/sim games I came accross Asseto Corsa. At first I found It really challenging, not because its hard to play it just takes a little getting used to. I bought the game early in it's release and have seen it grow from strength to strength. You have to drive the vehicles as you woul in real life, with care. If you are not careful the game will punish you and you will not enjoy it.

I highly reccomend this to anyone who has patience to learn to race properly. It's not a game for you if all you want to do is put your foot flat to the floor and hope for the best. It takes time and a lot of effort to become any good.

10/10 for me love it!

Edited 15/02/2015.

After putting many more hours into both single player and muliplayer i thought i would add a few more thoughts.

I was playing a lot of GRID AUTOSPORT and was really enjoying it, then a friend put me onto F1 racing and I then spent many hours with F12013/14. I found my self suckered into the thrill of "getting it right". I would occasionally jump into ASSETTO and race a few single player events and challenges, then i thought I would look at the multiplayer. I was blown away bu what i found.

The multiplayer community was much more attentive to the "Don't go flat out and crash at the first corner rule". People seemd to me on the whole to be taking the races with an attitude that would mirror real life events, don't get me wrong there were still those who were flogging it however there were much less of them. When and if you get onto the right server (MARTY CERVIN servers come to mind) the people that flogged it were warned and if they didn't change were banned. It made a much more enjoyable experience.

I managed to work out how to run my own server so now i also have control over everything. As well I looked into the modding community and found that to be very alive and kicking. Have even found the V8 Supercars and Australian racing tracks. Bathurst is a much harder track in ASSETTO compared to the GRID AUSTOSPORT version.

This has now become my go to racing game and I am looking forward to updating my tech to include the oculas rift purley for this game. lately they have released more updates and fixes which continue to improve the already wonderful game it is.

Cheers

Two button game that is fun to play and quite addictive.

It sounds too simple to be fun. But I can tell you it sucks you in. It's one of those games that can suck you in. You jusy have to try and get better.

A lot of fun for a little cost.

This is a game that I can see myself spending a great deal of time playing. I have played GRID and GRID 2 and they have improved again with GRID AUTOSPORT.

It's visually spectacular and the cars handling is well done. Its not a game to just hold the accelerator down and drive like maniac. You need to "drive" the cars to win.

If you are looking for a game that is challenging, almost a racing sim and is fun to play then this is the game for you.
