Early Access Review
Alright, I'm gonna start out with the negative stuff, and then get to the positive stuff. So far I only have 20 minutes of playtime. The noise coming from the "thing" at the front of the trailer is extremely loud and obnoxious, I swear to god I wish I could delete it from the game or shut it up. It makes spending even just a few seconds in the trailer almost unbearable and sends my anxiety through the roof. It's a very annoying pitch and doesn't seem to stop making unnecessary noise. Maybe quiet it down some? I went to the training base to see what all of the items were, and jeez there is an overwhelming number of items to learn about. I almost quit the game right then because I spent 17 out of my 20 minutes of playtime just reading about these things. I wish the game would let you start off with the basic items and slowly add items to your inventory so you can learn about them one by one. Maybe it wouldn't be so overwhelming. On that note, The message boards on the walls explaining what each item was were very annoying to read, they pretty much all said the same thing in the same order, with just the change of a few words based on what item was about. That to me seems like there wasn't much effort put into it. Almost like the person making them had writer's block. That's something I would have done in 2nd grade just to get the annoying writing assignment out of my life. Once I quit the training base after only reading half of the boards I went into an actual game. I found myself getting confused a bit due to the in-game menus being “see through” and my monkey brain not being able to process what I was looking at the first few times. I wish the in-game menus were a bit opaque so it hurts my brain less. If everything in the background were to unfocus from the camera, the menu in the foreground would be far more prominent. Once I loaded into the game, I was greeted by a familiar sight (cough cough *Phas* cough cough). Couldn’t help but see overwhelming similarities to another game that came out long before this one did. Right in front of me was a shelf of items, the flashlights and UV light were on. Nothing necessarily wrong with that but it triggered my OCD and the first thing I did was turn them off. I then tried to find that annoying static sound. Turns out it was the radio, and once again….. IT….. WOULDN’T….. TURN….. OFF…. I also didn’t know what some of the items were or what they were called, mostly due to my own doing. If I stayed another 10 minutes to read the rest of the boards in the training base I might have a chance at remembering what they were and their names. What would be even nicer than staying and reading all of that would be if right underneath “PRESS [E] TO INTERACT” it ALSO said the name of the item you were looking at. I.E. (flashlight) or (camera) or (Motion sens. Camera). Maybe also (Door *open*) and (Door *closed*) for when you don’t have a flashlight and there are no other lights. That's about all I can remember from my first experience with the game. One more thing, it would be cool to be able to interact with the main menu camera a bit by clicking on the screen and dragging your mouse around to look around.

Alright, loading in for the second time to re-evaluate the game. The game does make some pretty cool noises. The sprint in this game feels very similar to Phasmaphobia’s sprint in its beginning, these days the sprint in that game just pisses me off. This one definitely has a better sprint. Although I really hope this game eventually uses a sprint more like the one used in “BIGFOOT” and tweak the game to accommodate it. The game would feel way more realistic and add an intense sense of urgency. I hope the DEVs of this game pick up on this and take my advice. The interactions between the ghost and the player is really frequent, idk if all games will be like that but at least you don’t feel like the game is dead and nothing is going to happen. The bright flashlight is very nice , I just wish I could turn it on even when It’s not in my hands. But, I don't have 3 arms. I would have more to say but it’s in early development and very similar to Phasmophobia. Not much is new to me, at least mechanic wise. I may write another review after I have more time in the game. Despite all of this I will still recommend this game to my friends. I want to start playing this game with them instead of Phas. If any of the DEVs would like to reach out to me for any reason I am welcoming that. But if the DEVs take anything from my review. PLEASE LEAVE THE SPRINT ALONE. Unless you’re going to make it similar to BIGFOOT’s.
