It was kind of fun figuring out how it works, but then you figure it out and easily beat the scenario in 30m and that's the only content there is. Def not worth $30 right now but could be something later.

****Update: TLDR Funcom still sucks ****

Editing this comment 1 week later just to say Funcom STILL has not fixed the game breaking login issues. Many of us have been unable to play the game for 2 weeks or more because the game just crashes trying to load into the server. They still haven't communicated any timeline for a fix or even hinted at compensating us for losses due to Deep Desert wipes or our bases running out of fuel and getting wiped since we can't login to maintenance anything.

I don’t usually review games but my experience with Dune and Funcom is so bad I have to warn others.

Funcom is actively killing this game as if it were part of their roadmap.

They have released multiple consecutive game breaking patches and their customer support is some of the worst I’ve ever experienced.

Rampant hacking, item duping, and other exploiting.

Multiple days of server downtime or login issues preventing you from connecting at all (literally unplayable).

Random inventory disappearances when moving between zones.

Putting PVP zones on top of PVE player bases with no warning causing them to get raided overnight losing everything.

The salt in the wound with all of these issues is the absolute piss poor job Funcom does of acknowledging and communicating with their player base and paying customers regarding these issues.

Hundreds of us sat in a support thread on their discord literally unable to login for a week before we were able to get the attention of staff at Funcom.

Putting money into this game right now is an absolute risk, and given what we have seen from Funcom’s half baked and poorly tested patches and hotfixes which introduce severe new issues each time, I don’t see it improving any time soon.

2025 Shame of the Year. Don’t buy.
