The game is starting to make a comeback, but still nowhere near it's hay day. There is a steam guide on how to fix the crashing as well if you are using a newer CPU.

The game takes a while to get used to because of the terrible combat and the outdated engine. If you aren't running any mods that prevent crashing then expect a lot of progress being lost if you haven't quick saved while traveling long distances across the wasteland. This game has no limits on who you can kill, except for the NPC known as Yes Man. The dialogue options are very well written, and most of the time you can talk your way out of a situation if you didn't attack them first. There is no postgame because the playthrough ends after completing the final mission (it will warn you about this before you continue and an auto save will be made). The default movement speed is very slow, but it can be tweaked by using console commands (careful doing this because the faster you go the more likely you will crash the game). If you can bare the outdated graphics and unstable engine, or you are willing to install mods then I recommend you purchase this game along with all of the dlc it has to offer.

2. Kill special zombies
3. Get killed by regular zombies
4. Get killed by special zombies
5. Play as special zombies
6. Play with a team of people that hopefully don't leave you for dead
7. Play as a giant zombie that can go hulk smash on all of the survivors
8. Download mods
9. Survive endless waves of zombies until your team inevitably dies
