DON'T SLEEP ON THIS GAME!
This game is absolutely brutal, punishing, and just one misstep can sink you... and yet it is one of the most fun and satisfying games I've played this year. Every choice matters, everything slowly leads you down a new path of discovery.

You will die, and you will come back and your next attempt will be infinitely better because of no other reason than you just gained more knowledge, and yet that is never frustrating. All the while you are applying real-world logic about survival that almost always has a mechanical implementation in the game that feels appropriate and fair.

10/10 would have diarrhea and die again.

Outstanding asynchronous multiplayer game that consistently keeps shaking things up at a frequent pace that keeps any one thing from overstaying its welcome.

Fantastic roguelike with tons of promise that is overflowing with style and polish. Baking risk & reward mechanics directly into nearly every facet of the game is a bold choice that works incredibly well! Revita takes a lot of the frustrating elements of roguelikes and kicks them to the curb.

Absolute must play if you're a fan of roguelikes, auto-battlers, or the concept of the two of them having a highly-customizable, and extremely charming child.

People need to realize this was never supposed to be a sequel to Enter the Gungeon, it was always intended to be a spin-off. The game has the charm of the Enter the Gungeon universe and lets you explore it in a new way. The game is a faster paced, arcade version of Enter the Gungeon if it leaned harder into the bullet-hell genre. No it isn't Enter the Gungeon 2, but it also isn't supposed to be, it does a good job of being what it is trying to be.

A charming, colorful, groovy deckbuilder roguelike that respects your time. Choose from 6 wildly different characters and 6 wildly different "episodes" for each of those characters. Each episode is fresh and poses a different challenge ranging from easy to very challenging. You would think a game centered around the random nature of rolling dice would provide an avenue for frustration, but in practice it is rarely the case. The game is about minimizing the impact that the RNG will have on your run and creating a balanced build, or one so aggressive / defensive where you bank heavier on getting that one perfect turn which is incredibly satisfying to pull off. Dicey Dungeons deserves a spot with the roguelike elite, check out my video below for my full thoughts.

Otherwise here is my written opinions,

Ziggurat is the next roguelite to try to tackle the first person perspective. For my personally it is one of the few that has really hit the mark.

Ziggurat combines twitch fps controls with fantasy elements in a seemless way. You fight through randomly generated floors that feature a handfull of different types of rooms, enemies and bosses. As you progress in the game you unlock more items, characters, and abilities that will add to a pool of randomized items, changing the game as you sink more hours into it.

The game has three difficulties, Easy, Normal and Hard. Even on easy difficulty the game takes some getting used to and can be quite challenging. Normal difficulty is where it really starts to kick your butt, however. Hard mode is something else entirely. The amount of content in the game may be concerning to some, as you only fight through five floors which may be off-putting. I can assure fans of the roguelite genre that the game feels whole. Ziggurat is easily my favorite new game I've played in months and I am absolutely in love. Highly recommended to fans of roguelites, first person shooters, or the fantasy genres!

This is one game I never knew I needed in my life. Crazy amount of fun built off of a simple concept. Lethal League is an outstanding breakthrough game in the unique genre, "projectile-based fighting game". Lethal League is chaotic and hard to follow at times, yet it always feels like it works in the game's favor. With four characters bouncing around the screen hurling projectiles at a million miles an hour it is easy to get caught in the hype.

Lethal League is probably best experienced with friends, yet the single player experience is definitely enough to warrant picking it up. There is a pretty difficult classic mode to battle through with each character that is very rewarding. The other big single player experience is the online. The online mode in Lethal League works incredibly well! I haven't had a connection this stable playing an indie game in a really long time. Lethal League brings a lot to the table, and is definitely worth picking up, highly recommended!

Atmospheric and intuitive, this game brings a lot to the table with well designed puzzles, an amazing soundtrack and charming story. The game starts of pretty fun, but starts to become awe inspiring as you get further in the game and are challenged further. It is very surprising how well the TRI can be controlled, the anti-gravity mechanics are some of the best I've seen in a game. Easily my top 3D puzzle game since Portal, if you are looking for something to fill the void, look no further. Highly recommended!
