I love this game so far. It's like rediscovering an old favorite with my friends, but it's... not old. Get your buddies together and give this a shot. It's a survival crafting game with a familiar twist, and a nice helping of horror-survival too. Even solo, i think this game would be amazing. You owe it to yourself to give it a shot if any of that sounds up your alley.

There is something for everyone here, even if you aren't particularly a fan of horror games. It's kind of like picking up an anthology of short stories, find a place you want to crack into it and go to town. Don't love a game- well that's okay there are a bunch more that are totally differently toned and paced, each with their own unique atmosphere and aesthetic. It's like one of those cheesecake samplers or Tales From the Crypt or whatever.

Starts out alright, kind of promising. Looks nice, decent atmosphere. That's about it.

There is no excuse for how bad the writing is in this game. Of the dozens of lore drops in the game in the form of "notes" half of them are full of mispellings and sentences that just don't make sense. All it would have taken is 1 person to proofread the dialogue and notes in this game to improve this DRASTICALLY. Probably would have taken 30 minutes. Extremely sloppy, it makes me wonder where else corners were cut in this project.

Do. Not. Buy. I walked through the game in about 2 hours and 15 minutes, just a little past Steam's refund requirement, I regret playing the past 15 minutes of the game more than anything.

Really conflicted on this one.

On one hand the first few hours were really enjoyable, great atmosphere, no cookie cutter asset monsters et al. However after several hours of low frame-rate gameplay and extremely long loading sequences between deaths... I can't recommend this game in it's current form. After this game gets a bit more love from the devs in the form of optimization patches I would change my opinion. Major gripe is the long loading sequence after each death.

Even after a few years, this continues to be one of my go-to favorite horror games. I wish Junkfish would consider new monster dlc or a second Monstrum game!

Tried to play this on stream and had to stop because I couldn't leave the police station (an extra door spawns in the doorway you need to use to leave- there are 2 doors in one doorway! It's really scary).

This isn't acceptable, "free" humble bundle monthly game or not.This game is not complete, take it off steam and fix it or just throw this into Early Access. It's a shame I can't even refund this because most of us got it through the Humble Bundle. Thanks for wasting everyone's time! The least you could do is tell us it isn't finished.

Go watch the X-Files instead.

DO NOT BUY THIS!

This game needs about a year(or more) worth of work. Cool idea, poor execution. Blatent cash grab with the "The Rake" attached to it. Kind of funny how this was 15$ on release yesterday (11/15/2016) and now it's already down to 5$ after all the negative reviews(11/17/2016), pathetic.

The developer should be ashamed of themselves for trying to pass this 5 minute romp in the woods off as some kind of game. I still can't get over the fact that they had the audacity to try to pass this off for 15$. This is the epitome of greed.

I'm really taken back with Virginia.

I just got done playing it and I really enjoyed it. Where I felt vaguely bored at the end of The Bunker, Virginia had me wishing for so much more. Fantasically done, so many beautiful elements that come together in such a haunting, curious way that kept me interested throughout the duration of the "trip", as the developers subtley put it. Can't beat that price either, worth every penny imo.

I'd like to caveat all that by also point out that this game plays to the nostalgia one might feel from Twin Peaks, David Lynch films, the X-Files, things of that vein. If you've never experienced those things this might not be as interesting to your palette, but give it a shot and be your own judge.

Play it! Or watch it at least if you don't want to take the plunge, this one shouldn't be missed! I hope other Devs out there are listening, give me more of this.

If you buy this, I hope you don't have anything else to do for a few days.
