Seems like a fun game but the performance is so bad its hard to enjoy. Running on a 5090 I didn't expect to have to play this game in potato mode in order to get acceptable frame-rates.

This game has been very enjoyable so far, here's why:

1. Rewarding exploration: the game has many locations to explore, it rewards curiosity by having a ton of hidden areas of the main path that contain lore and loot to discover.
2. Meaningful choices: quests often offer a variety of ways to complete them.
3. A lived in world: NPC's seems to go about their day completing their task.
4. Interesting lore: the overall story and the lore is interesting and is weaved into all aspects of the world allowing you to learn more as you explore the world and interact with it.
5. Character Development: you can build your character however you want with no constraints.

If you are a fan of open world rpg's this is a game you'll want to play.

i supported this game when it initially released to support the devs and the vision they had... now they decide to bend the knee to the blue hair mafia, pathetic.

you should issue refunds to all the supporters you lied to.

It's aggressively mid. If you long for the days of a terror inducing demonic invasion you won't find that here, it's been replaced by an adderall fueled, tiktok brained bloody jaunt through some unrelated universe that doesn't bother to build atmosphere and even if it did you wouldn't be given the time to enjoy it anyway.

Anyone hoping for a move away from the disasters that where the last 2 entries can abandon that because this continues the decent into madness that the doom franchise has become.

zoomers and the "Hello fellow kids" style boomers will love this though.

if you enjoyed the original stalker you'll like this, the graphics (specifically the character models) are OK but I wish it would look a little better.

harambe would be proud.

playing mostly on ps5 but got the pc version to see if there was a huge difference. looks great on a 4090 but I did get some stuttering here and there.

fun combat, great graphics, cool story, ok crafting/upgrades and good skill tree.

I would recommend this game to anyone who's ever wondered what would happened if you mixed a city building/management game with an rpg. It requires to properly manage your resource/crafting pipelines and adds in the excitement of character growth for you and your villagers along with fun combat to liberate and protect areas you've liberated along with defending against bandit attacks.

It definitely has room for improvement in all areas but what's here is already well worth the price of the entry.

The game seems like it could be OK but constant crashes made me try Soulmask, and that game feels way better to play than this game right now. I would wait for some time while they sort out the issues. It also appears that this game was made with Unity so naturally that's going to come with a lot of the Unity jank and limitations (rough action combat, limited rendering pipeline capabilities, hard upper limits on geo/rendering, ui issues, etc..) and since it's closed source there is no chance for the devs to fix some of these inherent issues unfortunately.

Overall, expect a valhiem type experience but with villager management. If that sounds good to you then I would say go for it!

I've waited a while for this game, I bought the original homeworld at best buy however many decades ago and after playing the second installment I was ready for part 3.... well. It only took about 2 decades but it's finally here and it's amazing!

I like the new control scheme except for the click on walls move which can be disabled, they do have the ability to turn on classic controls.

The cut scenes are cool, nothing super crazy but it fits.

The gameplay, the important bit, is there and that's what matters to me. Almost done with the campaign and I tried the new warmode which is awesome. I'm glad they are focusing on a PVE mode since focusing on PVP has never really worked out for any RTS since maybe warcraft 3 there just isn't enough people interested in these types of games to keep the pool and skill level matches fresh.

I would say that warmode is the best addition and I hope that other RTS games follow this pattern.

The crypto miner got stuck when I starting the game up, the heat generated was intense.... I guess that was part of the immersion.
