One of those simple games that are simply satisfying and gets you hooked for hours.

It's OK. Understandably a little less smoothly-animated as it has (I assume) a less exorbitant production budget (compared to what we might find in AAA games). Please, please, please add an FOV slider. The FOV is far too low than what myself and I'm sure many other PC FPS players are used to

Honestly, many instances during the early-to-middle portions of the game were frustrating and user-unfriendly that had really marred the experience, but it eased up after those egregious portions were through and I started unlocking a fair amount of power-ups (key abilities like dashing/dodging, and so on). By the end of my 100% playthrough, I think I like the game enough to still give it a thumb-up review. I hope Team Cherry will continue to polish up on the balance as the first beta patch has, as the game does still has many qualities from its predecessor that fans of the genre can enjoy.

Expect genuine difficulty that will take many, many frustrating attempts to succeed.

Played on Quest 3 with a mix of Steam Link wireless and Meta Link wired.

It's a bit short, as with Fireproof's other games (and VR titles in general), and I do wish there were more puzzles to solve - but I thoroughly enjoyed the playthrough. The environments are well detailed (albeit limited in physics and interactivity on generic props), character models & animations satisfactory, and overall rather engaging and immersive story & set pieces. It's a lot heavier on narrative than The Room, and the puzzles not exceedingly challenging, but I wasn't unsatisfied with it.

No issues with PC performance as the art and graphics are pretty but not excessively demanding.

The second worst Resident Evil game, but it's bearable to do a run of the story with a friend.

Early Access Review
Not an immense amount of "action", but plenty of skin and nudity through the whole story. The story is not extremely eventful either (somewhat slow pacing) but the writing and dialogue were genuinely fun and had me hooked. The CG quality (alas mostly static images; few anims) really stood out to me. Alas, as some other reviews say, expect a LONG time before this story reaches a conclusion for Season 1 (let alone the whole storyline).

As far as action slash-em-up's go, this one's pretty neat. Exposition and storytelling isn't the best (drawn out dialogue, non-clarity), but other aspects including gameplay, music, and visuals are A-OK.

Fundamentally simple and not a very long game story-wise, but genuinely charming. I had a fun time swinging.

It's "alright", if one could adjust their expectations to more "big map action game" rather than "open world survival sim" - with a little lower budget than the big-hits one might be used to (Fallout, Far Cry, STALKER). Engaging enough and hadn't encountered much technical issues beyond some 'AA' jank here and there, but the bit that annoyed me the most while playing was the extremely limited inventory and dependence on trekking back and forth for ages.

Enemy AI is also a bit too rudimentary and incapable for combat to remain engaging for too long - by late-game I've had an over abundance of supplies and little challenge taking down enemies that didn't pose much threat anymore.

However, overall I still feel it's reasonable for the asking price (great regional pricing too, kudos) and I liked it enough to drop this Thumbs Up.

As a newcomer to the series and no prior experience with this original game, this was an entertaining experience. Tense horror without relying atmosphere rather than shock and jumpscares. Somewhat little variety in combat or enemies.
