It's not Bloodlines 2 and it isn't worth $60 but if you're after a basic action game set in the World of Darkness, it can be fun if you accept it for what it is. I don't like that they made the decision to make Nomad an Elder since the tutorial hypes up the power fantasy by letting you bounce a dude off a wall only to let you loose on Seattle to damage sponges. The story is intriguing so far but if you're familiar with VtM at all, you can pretty much guess the hook right off the back. The important characters do have a surprising amount of depth.

All in all, it isn't the dumpster fire I was expecting from the early reviews. Wait for a sale, ignore the Bloodlines 2 part of the title and there's enough of a Cyberpunk 2077 cosplaying as Dracula base game that it can be fun.

For a game about communicating, no one has communicated in any games I've been in. Unless the WW2 setting interests you, go play Squad instead.
