IGN said it was bad, so you know it's good.

2.5 hours to complete almost all of the side activities and the main story. Well worth the price of admission (~£15).

I pirated this game when I first played it. I was so wrought with guilt I've since bought it for 2 people and purchased it myself as penance. Sorry Lucas, I hope that makes up for my mistake.

Quite honestly one of the best games I have ever played.
Although pretty much every review says that.

My review for the Prologue (the free demo) was something along the lines of: 'Seems great, can't wait for more', and I may have been underselling Not For Broadcast.

Pros:

Some of the best character development I have ever seen in a game.
Immersive gameplay: I physically recoiled in my chair at moments like when a VCR player explodes in my face

Deadpan British humour
Fantastic acting from the live action cast
A story I fell into and keeps me wanting more
Replayability

Cons:

I have to wait for the next episode to be released
That's it

Not For Broadcast might be one of the best games I've ever played. Maybe it's because I feel so strongly about the political messages, maybe it's because of the top tier writing and acting, or maybe it's because of the hilarious humour that has me belly laughing.

All I know is you should get this downright amazing game.

The 33 mins of playtime I have in this game was spent in ONE cutscene. Couldn't be bothered to wait any longer to play the actual game.

It's not a perfect game, it'll probably get boring after a couple of hours. But ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥'s a lot of fun for less than the price of a cinema ticket!

This is a story about the very first game of Rising Storm I played.

>Spawn in as the Americans on what I now know is Firebase Georgina
The setting is 'A platoon of the US Army on patrol is ambushed by PAVN regulars while clearing a rice field of a potential cache, and makes a fighting retreat through the valley'
>Run towards the 'A' point, called 'Contact' with my team.
>We're all prone in a ditch as the crack of rounds start flying over our heads
>Squad Leader in a distint southern american accent starts shouting: 'STAY DOWN, STAY DOWN!!'
>I'm still prone, looking left and right as my guys start putting down fire on the advancing VC
>It's all getting a bit intense
>Can't see anything with my belt buckle in the mud and eyes in the grass
>As i'm thinking about popping up to spot the enemy, I look left to see a Squad Leader pop up onto one knee, just as he's about to fire his Thumper grenade launcher, he takes an RPG to the chest, killing two other guys.
>He's completely obliterated
>His foot lands 6 inches from my face
>O Shi-
>Crawl to the left flank with my M16 and find a half decent position to cover my guys
>Overlooking a rice field
>See a VC running, AK in hand
>Fire one round
>He ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ drops
>Spend the next couple of minutes popping off VC as the try to outflank us
>Eventually lose 'A', hear my Squad Leader shouting 'FALL BACK!'
>Stand up to run back to B
>Immediately shot

TL;DR, Rising Storm is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ intense. You'll have your good games and games where you bearly get a kill. But it is the perfect balance between arcade and realistic shooters.
