Early Access Review
This game is a great new take on the automation genre. It isn't super long, but provides plenty of content and interesting problems to try and automate. It has its flaws, but it is still in Early Access, and the dev seems kind and has plans for the game.

It is made in Electron, so it may end up running into performance issues in the future - unsure.

For a US$4 game, this is fine. There is next to no polish however, which is why I am reviewing this negatively. Pills clearly labeled as "laxative" by texture are called "A Vitamins" by the game. Pringle cans are labelled "Banana Thick-cut Chips". Things clip through the floor constantly (most frequent on the 3rd stage that has 9999 items). Many things are miscolored, for instance: pitch black beets that look like bombs. Some of the categories are labelled oddly; all aluminum can sodas are grouped under "alchoholic beverages". Things are frequently sized poorly - Beer bottles smaller than a pickle, or onions the size of a small plum.

Sometimes the organization / shelving of items does not make any logical sense - spherical sports balls stacked on top of each other, or mushrooms in neat lines. Some items cannot be put on some shelves. A little bit additional care to shelving mounts and/or packaging would have gone a long way. That said, they do a pretty good job at allowing you to organize things symetrically, which is nice.

While functionally these inconsistencies aren't gamebreaking, they definitely make the experience feel worse, especially since this entire sub-genre of games are targeted at people who organize to relax, and will therefore likely notice these inconsistencies.

This game would really benefit from additional content. Larger and/or Smaller alternative Library layouts with different structure to them. Alternative / harder sort options such as by title or by author. Randomized magic runs. Different spell variety as some spells are just better versions of others. Some simple book physics so you don't end up with floating books everywhere that might get in your way with their sharp edges.

That said, it is only US$6, and it does execute well enough on its concept that it does feel worthwhile. If you like organization, this game is pretty enjoyable.

This entry includes all the original entries in this (flash game) series.

I have enjoyed other similar in concept flash game compilations on Steam before (The Elephant Collection, and Robot Wants it All were both fantastic), but this one was not polished to nearly the same degree as those. It is a low-effort port. It has crashed on me, and I had a lot of trouble getting the main menu to cooperate with my dual-monitor setup, where one monitor is vertical. The amount of options for the games themselves are essentially nonexistent - an unfortunate relic of the flash-game era. Notably I cannot change the volume of the music or sound effects, let alone independently of each other.

This game looks very nice, and is a fun short little idle game to tinker with. I have no quarrels with the length or visuals, or with the overall format. I think it's a fun little idle game that takes a day or two to beat at most and I'm more than happy to support small dev projects like this, especially for fair prices!

The reason I don't recommend this game is because the upgrades and mechanics feel unsatisfying, and not very cohesive. Upgrading straights does not upgrade flush straights, or 6-straights, or 7-straights (ex. a "2-pair" does not count as a "pair"). Just the base-length, non-flush straight. The game then automatically scores each hand. The problem therein lies in the fact that certain mechanics require only the basic forms of these hands, and will not register the more specific, higher-scoring versions of them. This combined with other factors makes it difficult to impossible to cater your deck(s) to specific strategies, so end-game decks always look the same.

The additional suits and numbers are interesting, and I like the concept, but again, there are things that only synergize with the base suits and not the new extended suits or numbers. As such, all late-game decks will pretty much look exactly the same. This brings me to my final point.

I didn't really have to work for anything in this game. I feel like with a bit more careful number scaling, and upgrade placements/costs, you could really make certain things feel more meaningful as powerspikes.

So the game is good! I thought it was worth the low price, but I still feel like it doesn't quite reach its full potential. Even still I think it is decently worth the price. I genuinely believe with a few numerical and structural tweaks this game could better scratch the face-card deck-building itch in a more casual way than how Balatro approaches it. Fun!

Played on Linux Mint Mate - Had a couple small graphical issues, but was able to get the game to work perfectly fine in the end.

Sawayama Solitaire is definitely the best klondike solitaire variant. Allowing visibility of all dealt cards to begin with, and only allowing shuffling through by 3s one time, but having a free space once you've finished going through the extra cards, it provides the perfect balance of strategy and varied tactical play without getting frustrated by excessive rng. The bare bones features including lack of an undo button incentivizes careful play and calculating each move. The win counter is the perfect overarching progression that will provide hundreds of hours of entertainment mastering the strategic and tactical balance.

Huh? The rest of the games? Oh yeah, those are great too!

This game is good. The visuals are very nice. The controls are responsive. But it isn't fun for me to play. The songs are repetitive and too mellow for their own good, and the rhythm gimmicks feel very samey across each level.

Not a terrible game, but if you're after a fun, engaging, rhythm game experience, this is probably not it. This is more of a chill, repeat until finished experience.

I thought that I wouldn't like this game because it kills you on a miss note.

I ended up liking this game (and it's magnificent DLC) far more than I could have imagined.

I still don't love the concept of rhythm games that kick you out from a single mistake, but the game is forgiving enough, and there are ample checkpoints on all of the hardest levels. The game introduces you to the concepts and how to read certain configurations very well (base game -> DLC -> Base Game Time Trials and bonus levels -> DLC EX -> Crown World) (obviously not including custom workshop levels). I thought I would be completely lost reading some of the charts, and some of them I was for a while, but I managed to figure everything out without too much trouble for the most part.

TLDR; If you like rhythm games, I highly recommend giving this one a shot, even if you don't normally play single-mistake rhythm games.

This game is 13 minutes long.
It has some flaws, but I don't mind the whole idea of developers putting out short little one-off games, so I do recommend it.
From my play experience I feel like interactable objects and hitboxes should be indicated better than they are, but the concept is clever, and the art is very cute!

Is it fun to play with friends? Absolutely!

Is it actually a good game? By modern standards - No.

The biggest thing is, the controls aren't good at all, half the time the camera is inverted by default, and often times you have to hold a button rather than press it to fire a projectile properly without any sort of indicator. It's really weird to get used to these controls, and also difficult to configure them in a way you want because the defaults aren't super consistent, and the settings descriptions can be vague.

The formula doesn't really work quite as well in 3D as it did in 2D IMO. This might just be an execution issue, but managing shot drop from a first person perspective while also aiming on the correct x and z coordinates doesn't have the same potential for friendly fire or chaotic interactions. Don't get me wrong, there are definitely still chaotic interactions, but they are harder to visualize with the 3D environments and the camera the way it is, and more importantly you're more likely to miss with more open space in the game.

Movement is very jank. You can move your worms super far on each turn, but jumping and double-jumping, and many other movement options are limited by sharp edges, lack of air control, ambiguous controls, and other design (choices?, flaws?, hardware restrictions?, etc...).

There are other things I could prattle on about, but those are what I feel are the biggest issues with the game. If you're after a good time with friends, I recommend a different iteration of this franchise, not this one; but have a blast with everyone being absolutely awful and making stupid mistakes if you or a friend are set on this one!
