Been playing this since Season 0 on Origin, with 1300 hours. Maxed out every battlepass, never spent a dime on the game and have no heirloom.

Pros:
Fun gunplay with a veriety of weapons. Combined with the characters you can play the way you like.
Amazing ping system that influenced and will influence every single multiplayer action game.
Easy and comprehensive inventory system, I'd say it is the best one out there.
One of the best audio designs I've ever seen. Characters are alive and really express themselves in every single basic line. People love it.
The playerbase is HUGE, you get insta-queues every time of the day in certain regions.

Cons:
The audio can be a mess sometimes, just like PUBG. No footsteps and void audio (new Horizon bug).
The updates and game balances are SLOW, and I really mean it. They rarely hotfix gameplay things - looking at you -25 s6 armor.
The worst monetization created by the human race. The shop is BAD, really bad. Collection events are really expensive and the loot boxes are hideous because this game have a lot of filler loot and the skins below purple are all trash, only the golden ones are (kinda) good.
The heirloom system is a cash grab for people with no control. A single cosmetic can cost you hundreds of dollars. Disgusting.

The way you play this is by buying the battlepass and grinding it every day to make it worth and NEVER spending a dime again. Every bp gives you the amount of currency to buy the next bp, so if you're addicted, go for it, but check reddit before buy the bp. People there made
some calculations of how much you have to play to complete the battlepass, but I'm addicted so whatever.
Play and enjoy, this game is a diamond in the rough, if you overlook the monetization problems and occasional lags and bugs (they are really rare if you play a lot), you could have a blast on this.
