So this game means a lot to me, It's undoubtedly one of the most captivating and immersive Indie games I've ever played. My first impression of playing this game back a couple years ago has left me with indescribable feelings I've yet to gain from any game. That in and of itself is special. A connection unlike any other, spiritual maybe, as this game does deal with life and death; a creature torn from it's family early on and forced to survive until it finds it's purpose in a long and forgotten world flooded by relentless rain. Without spoiling, a greater goal awaited this creature, a goal that is beyond comprehension that makes everything else seem so pointless.

Rain World is truly a one of a kind game. The artistic style of the game is nothing short of amazing as well as the soundtrack, which both serve to support the intense immersion of the world. Everything that makes this game unique works so well to create a believable ecosystem that surpasses what can be labeled as a just a video game. It's quite uncanny how realistic the ecosystem found in this game can feel, almost like it's an entirely different being disconnected from lines of code pasted onto a screen. From the various creatures to the places you can explore you'll get lost in the world of this game; with it's fully living ecosystem and very intelligent AI it makes for an amazing yet difficult experience.

There's the main story mode as well as an arena mode where you can play to your liking with friends and experiment with various creatures and weapons. While traversing through the world it can be difficult, unfair, and at times very random, even though it is a very difficult game for newcomers you end up finding other ways to conquer and get past challenges you face. There's multiple different 'slug cats' you can play as, all with different abilities and difficulty levels; so even if you're having a hard time surviving you can turn down the difficulty to your liking. If you're thinking about trying this game out I would definitely recommend it as it brings with it an unforgettable experience that I myself have never and will never forget. Thank you for reading.
