11/10 would jump from the ship on the last day and as the last survivor again

Amazing game despite the performance issues (85% of them were caused by not compiling the shaders before playing).

Super good, 11/10 would DLC again

Great game, would play at 25fps (with RT off and 1080p) again.

Dark Souls Ride a Horse Edition has a lot of performance issues. At least it is not disappointing as it's just a Dark Souls 3 mod, if you liked it, just picture how it would've been if they added mounts.


Pretty much every single boss is recycled, killing the same boss over and over again.
Killed the same boss twice within an hour in 2 distinct places.

Disappointing so far, controller layout is odd. Had an issue that would show me the keyboard keys when playing with an Xbox 360 Controller (Microsoft). No visual improvements that justify the requirements (RT High), seems to me that they didn't bother optimizing the game, not to mention the performance issues I've had.
I'll eventually update this review once I finish the game, but do not recommend at the current state.

First update:
Performance tanks at random times, the game has crashed twice so far.

Second update:
Still experiencing stuttering and performance issues no matter what resolution or settings I use (from 720p to 2160p). Some achievements aren't working, and the glitch where you get stuck in a death loop after playing a coop session because the game thinks you're still in that session and kills you for "leaving the mission area", remains. Restarting the game doesn't fix it, basically locking you out of the single-player.

PLAY IT, BOY!

Overall performance is pretty good. I wouldn't say it's as good as Days Gone but is definitely better than Horizon Zero Dawn.

Stunning visuals and HDR work like a charm, enhancing colors and contrast even more. The game offers support to DLSS and FSR, DLSS is slightly better when it comes to both visual and performance, but FSR does great too.

NVIDIA Reflex did improve the experience when playing on my TV, which has a higher input lag than that of my monitor, but not so much.

Lack of exclusive fullscreen support is a tad bit annoying.

The mechanics are plain simple and the combat is fluid. Quick Time Events are gone, gore remains. Astonishing animations make it very satisfying to execute your enemy when prompted.

It's absolutely not a souls-like game.
