My four year old loves it. It looks just like an episode the whole time. Works great with Proton.

At my age I have difficulty assigning a personal opinion, so I'll just give it a positive since I don't have to troubleshoot it and my kids loves it.

Old school 2D meets modern computers and FPS strategy.

I've tried describing this game to my friends, and the only thing I know to do is compare it to a 3D First Person Shooter, only it's 2D and every bit as challenging.

This game has it all, Street Fighter style character selection, platformer style play, run and gun looks and play, a definite FPS mindset and an RPG style upgrade system. Not only does it take a little from everything, but it does it well.

I recommend this to both old and new school gamers, one of the best things to come out for years.

Originally I did NOT recommend this game. The days of Xinput were new, and I was NOT in the XBox world. Fast forward to today, I think Xinput is a great standard BUT I still think developers should respect the controller configuration Steam presents to the game. So I went ahead and flipped my review to recommend, now that I have my controllers emulating Xinput and I have some actual non-XBox Xinput controllers I respect the standard. I still wish to admonish the developers for ignoring Steam configuration in the name of XInput only, but I consider XInput only just on the wrong side of reasonable today, which is far better than the what kind of jerk are you? view I had years ago.

I can't really recommend this as a Linux user. It does NOT respect the control configuration you setup in Steam, nor does it offer an alternative reconfiguration. As a result I have to jump with the select button and I don't know what anything else does. Waste of money, which is too bad, I loved the original on my Wii.

I haven't even finished the first level yet and I'm completely entranced by how cool this game is. The scenery and music alone make it work the purchase, so far the game play is cool but nothing to write home about. I see great potential based on atmosphere and awesome factor alone.
