Great game with a lot of attention to detail and options to tailor your runs to what you want in a zombie apocalypse (from the classic zeds to the 28 weeks later zeds and other settings). The vanilla experience of the game can offer a lot in your first runs to learn the game and enjoy what it offers but where the magic occurs is in the mods that can take this several steps further depending on what you setup (10 years later type mods being a prime example).

For the work and passion being put in this game and the amount of mods from talented modders its in my top recommendations for anyone looking for the zombie survival experience where you will get you bang for buck in gameplay hours.

No option to host a private match, currently forced to play with randos. I hope private matches will become a thing by full release otherwise I can't recommend this game for co-op play with friends.

Edit: 2 weeks later, private matches are now implemented (except for solo play, that will come later from what I saw). I can finally recommend this game for co-op play with friends without having to deal with randos. The game's gameplay is very good so far but as others have mentioned this is a half baked product. If playing a game that is still in development not your thing then wait 6 to 12 months for a cleaner experience.
