a game that is in every aspect of the word, delightful. it doesn't really delve to deep into the puzzles or the gameplay, instead spending the entire runtime just making sure you have a good time. if you like delightful little stories that are willing to be a bit cringe for the sake of honesty, and if your able to sit through and enjoy the opening with the sailor, then really this is a game with not much to complain about. just a joy all around.

you can kind of tell after this is the case after the first episode but let me just confirm it for you. every single episode of this game gets better than the last. the game was clearly designed one episode at a time and the improvement through each one is palpable. you can smell the beginners gloves slowly being taken off in the first and second one and watch as the act of mastering is slowly achieved. not to say it starts off bad, but after the 6th episode you start wondering if it really can even keep improving, it does.

for a game that clearly wears its inspirations on its sleeve it still manages to make every level feel like an incredible breath of fresh air, unique and inspired, even if it would be benefit from a little bit of polish in some areas that the creator clearly just didn't have time to/want to touch up on.

wouldn't recommend it unless you like this sort of thing. this was made for people who like this sort of thing. youll only love it if you like this sort of thing. youll love it if you like this sort of thing

just a bunch of fun little vignettes about a world where alot of people want to kill you for no reason, ha ha what a funny concept

missing what any good puzzle game has like an undo button (necessary) or a proper restart function. the coins feel as if they are there just for aesthetic purposes as they are often trivial to collect once u complete a level. the graphics are not only bad but in some certain areas unfinished with missing tiles present for no reason. there is clearly work put into the puzzles even if alot of them feel like the creator just threw random stuff at a screen as it does feel like there are themes between them and they do get harder as the game goes on, its just that for its £30 price it really feels like more should and could be done. for a game without any unique mechanics and missing very important and basic controls you would assume it would atleast be a bit humbler.

this is a game about slowly moving away from even slower moving enemies. all they do is walk towards you and you walk away whilst shooting back the most boring attacks mankind has ever seen.

nothing about this game has even the idea of fun the characters u play as even take time to turn around even though there is no animation for it, hell there is no animation for death. while dead you can still shoot at enemies!

the leveling system is is so slow and starts you so weak that your forced to trudge through the combat at a snails pace. this doesnt make the game any harder for a child could complete this game hitless but it does make it even more of a waste of time.

the enemies are all just reskins with hp values mildly changed and for a 33.50 anime game youd atleast assume the player sprites would look good but they just make the title card feel like false advertisement.

the price would only make sense if thats what I was payed to review this.

it feels a bit mean to price this game at £30.

the graphics are uncreative, repetitive and simplistic. clearly cheap.
the enemies are so simplistic that the two of them dont even feel different from eachother.
the controls are competent even if it feels clear they where created by following a simple youtube tutorial or another cheap technique. it feels fun in the sense that its completely derivative and the things that its derivative of are fun. also gravity makes u fall straight down for some reason instead of calculating momentum.
killing the boss doesnt even end the game as if just to pad time, creating infinite content by just never having an end goal but forgetting that to do that you have to actually have content to begin with.
theoretically there are 3 upgrades total but since the goal of the first one is to let u purchase the second one and the goal of the second one is to let u purchase the third one, its just a really expensive and longwinded system to just incorporate one upgrade, that might as well just be a more visually impressive way to implement firerate.
the objects on the ground provide so little benefit it feels like they are only there to create the illusion of more content.

at this high of a price it just feels like a scam.
