Even after reading all the negative reviews and watching those hilarious glitches on YouTube, I decided to take the plunge anyway and bought it during the summer sale. I expected some bug-filled hilarity. Alas, something was amiss with my copy as no glitch or crash was to be found. My game worked perfectly. So disappointed. Oh well, at least I got a fun wrassling game. 8/10.

Playing as an Alpha Clone (free-to-try) I find there's still plenty to do without feeling too restricted. You're allotted a set number of skills and limited to piloting only ships from your own race up to cruiser-class. A paid account (Omega) would lift these restrictions. The revised "New Player Experience" helps with learning the mechanics of Eve. If you have the patience to learn the complexity of Eve early on, whatever role you decide to play will be rewarding in the long-run.
