Day 32. It's been about a week since the cold started and it's snowing every day. My people started fighting during guard shifts during the night and it has started taking its toll on both their mental and physical well-being. And the cold doesn't help. People are wounded and sick and I'm badly in need of meds.

Of the few locations around my safehouse that aren't blocked because of the weather, an old school that was shelled. Rumors say they have a lot of meds, but that it may be dangerous. I decide to send my best scavenger out armed only with a crowbar.

Arriving at the location, it's heavily guarded by militia. One guy approaches me and wants to trade, he has some meds, but I have little and left it all at the house anyway. He tells me we can't trade, but that I can't enter...

The hell I can't! My people need those meds!

While he's waiting for me to change my mind at the door, I sneak past him and his friends through an unguarded floor above. As I silently go deeper inside the school, I finally find some medication and some bandages. Minutes later, after a few close calls short of being discovered, I see a locked cabinet down the hall. Using the only item I brought with me, my trusty crowbar, I break it open. What do I find? About a ton of tobacco and some ammo!

I sneak my way out the way I came, and back at the entrance, that guy is still asking me if I want to trade. The meds I found aren't going to cut it, so I offer him the ammo and the tobacco I stole from him earlier against some more meds and some sugar. He accepts, not knowing I'm actually selling him his own stuff, what a fool!

I run back home, patch everyone up, and we all have a good laugh about the incident around a few glasses of moonshine we made from the sugar we just made ours.

Invisible Inc is one hell of a strategy game. Every move counts. Every turn counts. Every detail in preparation, be it the equipment you choose, the mission type, security level or travel time matters. One single mistake can mean the difference between a massive reward or a botched op.

The game uses an alert level system which increases at every turn, pushing the player to act before it gets too difficult. It's a little unsettling at first, especially in the beginning when agents don't have a lot of action points. But it's there for a reason: without it, there would be little challenge because of the nature of the game: it's a stealth game. Without it, you could take 300 turns to recon all point of interests and patrol routes and the game would get boring fast.

The game challenges you to remain undetected as much as possible, as killing guards raises the alarm level instantly, while neutralizing them is only temporary, after which they will actively search for you.

Sneaking past patrols and using cover is immensely rewarding. I've seen comments about some situations being unwinnable because of the random level generator, but that's simply not true. Every situation has a solution, but you may lack the proper preparation, strategy or equipment to win it. If that's the case, the game actually encourages you to cut your losses and head to the nearest exit. A failed mission is a lot less painful than losing an agent, since the game only has permadeath.

Invisible Inc is a gem that no other game can really compare to. It's in its own league as a stealth-based turn-based strategy game.

This game? Buy it. Best $10 game I ever bought.

The current levels are immensely fun. The best part about it is that you can actually use common sense for pretty much everything, from crafting, to solving all these little issues you'll come across.

Is it repetitive? Oh yeah it is. Is it a bad thing? Not really. Prison life *is* repetitive. And that's actually what makes this game rewarding. Learn the routine, make some cash, buy components, make some tools, build your plan to perfection and execute it on your final day.

The game is unforgiving, just like it should be. If you don't cover your tracks, you'll get caught, and it's gonna cost you.

One of my favourite strategy game of all time.

I bought this game for 20$ on XBLA back in June. Best 20$ I spent on a game in years. And believe me I buy a LOT of games. Clocked a 100 hours or so. Bought it again on sale on Steam for 10$, plus the Breakdown DLC at 7$. The PC version is far superior (graphics and framerate). It is probably the best singleplayer zombie experience ever made. This is easily a 60$ title. And get this: I bought it twice + DLC for 37$, so I pretty much feel like I robbed Undead Labs, thrice. Buy it. Now.
