Creating animated sprays:
I use VTFEdit which can be found @http://nemesis.thewavelength.net/index.php?c=149

Caveats: 1) Sprays have to be a power of 2 (typically 128x128). 2) Sprays are limited to < 130k in total size.

In VTFEdit you chose import from the file menu and select a range of images. These images should make up your series and must be the same size. The order of these images will be defined by name, so typically I have a series something like this: image00.jpg, image01.jpg, image02.jpg, image03.jpg. You'll notice pretty quickly that to create an image under 130k you can only usually fit ~ 10-15 images. The animated spray won't be anything too fancy. Sorry. But their fun.

Ah. Also SprayR might work and may automate some of this (like using animated GIFs directly). It can be found @http://sprayr.scumhunter.net/
