Summary:
(longer version below)
A comedic FPS game that delivers its vulgar jokes without being over-the-top. Some parts of the game feel like extra padding, but I can't really complain about it as it isn't noticeable. It is unfortunately plagued by some co-op issues and missing some QOL features - otherwise, the game itself runs (mostly) well and haven't had any other issues. Definitely recommended, just don't buy it at full price.

In-Depth:
I played Shadow Warrior 2 entirely in co-op, so experiences may vary. It was an enjoyable game through-and-through once I understood how it works. The first time I tried it, I quickly got tired of the constant items I was picking up as they felt useless and I had no clear idea of what to do with them. The second time, I started the campaign on hard, and the obvious became clear. You will quickly earn a couple of weapons, allowing you mod them (I suggest doing this in-between missions) to be elemental weapons of specific types. This helps in dispatching of specific enemies very quickly. The game's rewards slow down until you start either clearing side quests or reach the end.

Story-wise the game is alright, though I have to admit some of the elements were a bit tangled up, but perhaps I haven't paid enough attention to it. I enjoyed dashing through some of the beautiful areas, and I really liked the change of seasons, although that implied asset reuse. The ending was a bit anticlimactic and acted as prelude of sorts to the upcoming sequel.

The biggest nuisance was the fact that you cannot "complete" the game in co-op, and are forced to rely on the host to pick up, or interact, with any quest related items. Even after you finish the game, you don't unlock the achievement, unless you finish it as the host. Some of the kill achievements also did not work, so I was made to play solo for a while and grind for those. Minor latency sometimes causes damage indicators/numbers to not show at all for some reason.

The game ran alright, but in specific instances/maps it slowed down to 1-3 FPS for brief moments, sometimes even crashing. This also happened to the person that I played with in co-op.
