Let me start of with this: I'm not a fan of 2D platform games. After 20minutes with Child of Light - I'm still not one. But this game, has never felt more user-friendly than any other I tried. It does not feel like 2D at all. Storyline as basic as it may be, had few very nostalgic moments which truly captured the mind. This is a mix of art, fantasy, fairytale and FF turn-based action, which will guarantee long hours of gameplay. Once the music starts, you will not want to turn the volume down. From melancholic violins and flutes, to the strong tubas and dramatic pianos accompanied by choir, Child of Light's OST is definitely a rich one, for such genre. Even after turning the game off, you can still hear the sound of Boss Battles.
As for gameplay itself, it really kept me going. The graphics are such eye catchers, one does not want to end a level without fully exploring it. Physics done on Princess' hair is simply fantastic, just for the hair itself you let the character float around up and down, doing twirls and jumps. Despite same scenarios to all battles, the varieties of enemies were definitely satysfying and even on Normal Game Mode - I've had some troubles sometimes managing my health.
Characters all all different with their own personalities, but not to spoil anything - I'll stop right there.

Child of Light is a game for audiences of various ages, definitely worth anyone's while, time and money. It is with pleasure I can recomment the game to anyone, who thought the same as me (and not only) after watching the trailer: This looks cute, I might give it a shot.

Do it. You will not regret a single moment :)
