A review for this game is meaningless because who doesn't know about this game. Even if you haven't played it, you have seen someone else play it and probably already know if you would enjoy this game or not. The game is pretty much everything it advertises to be. Its an enjoyable battle royale/last man standing game that throws 100 players onto an island (and soon a desert) to fight it out. PUBG is a very fun game that has held my interest for about 250 hours. I would say im pretty bored with it now, but I find myself coming back to it everynow and again with a friend or squad, which is the most enjoyable aspect of this game: teamplay.

If you are interested in playing this game, I would say go for it, but do it quickly. The devs are pushing the esports scene for this game way too hard for what it is. The best part of a battle royale style game is the randomness and unfairness of each game. Somegames you find amazing stuff, some games you dont. Flight path, airdrops, bomb zones, area circles, vehicle spawns, loot quality & quantity are all random and is the main reason these games don't get repetitive quickly. Pushing esports would lead to these aspect being somewhat balanced, essentially killing the game. At its current state though, its a really enjoyable game and I hope the devs make the right decisions going forward. 7/10

At 28 hours played and 118 runs, I finally beat the second boss, thus completing the game in its current state. However, there are still so many areas to explore! This game does everything I want out of a rogue-lite.

Each run, the items you pick up completely dictate your playstyle. Each sword isn't just a reskin that does slightly more damage, or has a slightly increased swing speed; each weapon feels unique. One run you find yourself swinging a huge hammer, diving into a cluster of guys, stunning them all at once to finish them off with fire, and the next you upgrade your skill cooldown and damage to duel wield grenades that one-shot most enemies. The game feels fresh eachtime you play.

It also looks absolutely fantastic. The sprite work is incredible, the textures all just work so well together and each weapon is rendered perfectly. Fluid animation and so much of it. I cannot recommend this game enough! 8/10

Have you played Magic: The Gathering? If you have, you have just stumbled upon the best digital CCG. It's very easy to learn as a lot of the mechanics are lifted straight out of MTG or other similar card games. But don't think of this as an MTG clone... The places where this game excels are its unique mechanics that really take advantage of the digital nature of this game. Echo for example, gives you two copies of the card when you draw it, and warp allows you to see if the card is on top of your deck and play it from there if it is. These are mechanics that could not be done in paper and are extremely enjoyable to use.

The metagame, at the moment, is quite flexible and although there are a couple of decks that are clearly the 'best decks', they aren't by much. There's actually a lot of room for deck brewing and its all quite affordable. The free-to-play model is very fair in comparison to other cash grabs like hearthstone, making this game quite accessible. You get a pack just for winning a game each day! Thats value! I have 3 tier-1 decks and a bunch of other legendaries im not using and I haven't purchased packs with actual money. This game is definately worth a look if you are considering it. 8/10
