hey, I'm learning the ropes with L4D authoring tools. not too tricky when you get the hang of it. Already got a few good ideas for some levels including a tower defense level of a bulk carrier parked at the end of a very long pier at port Kembla (for the local flavour) littered with obsacles. Duncans also getting onboard, he reckons he can use Hammer for his tafe students.
