• Morlan's shorts:

The right "retro" qualities: Low-res graphics, 80s-synth music, hard levels, cheesy story.. all in a good way! Controls are responsive which is very much needed because keyboard-fu skills will be excercised. Levels appear simple but they are meticulously crafted. Plenty (a LOT) of cutscenes which is a nice touch and.. secrets and different endings!
Deserves more recognition and it's on sale every other Friday! Why don't you have it?

Seemed (good) silly at first, gave it a shot.. it only deserves to be shot (the game). It's crap..
Keep mouse button clicked and move up continuously. Wreck your mouse for nothing. This is what's wrong with steam and achievements at this point. None would touch this if it wasn't for the pointless achievements. Nothing is fun about the gameplay. Just put sword to minimum length and watch the "coronation". Has a few funny moments happening in the background.
NOp, even as free..
First free game I refunded.
(Oh.. and I couldn't even go "online" to see what that fuss is all about. Button was grey and couldn't connect)

• Morlan's shorts:

As "casual" as it gets is this game but there's been some love poured into this. The music is relaxing and..casual, with some variations making it not very tiresome. The graphics are quite detailed for its kind and the gameplay is smooth. Yes you can finish the game in an hour or so but the levels are fairly interesting, not some random stuff thrown around to make a level. But the price is off the charts! Should be on the 1 coin territory, tops 2, because of the length alone. Seems at some point the devs changed prices for all their games to the same exact price.
If you find it in a bundle or heavily discounted, eh sure, go for it. Relaxing is what we need at times..

Despite its age, this is one of the fun games of the genre. Although graphically a tad dated by now, it conveys the atmosphere well. Music/Ambient are alright, nothing to have dreams or nightmares about. Some of the collected hidden items can be hard to spot. Puzzles are relatively easy to medium but not run-of-the-mill and some clever bits thrown in there. Story is passable, it's Sandman after all. I'd grab it on sale..

PS. The "Matrix"-y bits are a fun touch..

The game is fairly fun. You click the icons of the incident, learn about it, send a unit. You have police, ambulance, and firefighters and it gets progressively..heavier on the incidents. Occasionally there's a call that you have to answer with the "right" choices or you may lose it or the credits for it, before sending the troops. You see the untis travelling and can even zoom quite close but you can't follow them with the camera which would be nice. Some other parts of the interface could be improved but nothing major.
BUT.. This gets the negative thumbs because of the attrocious ad on starting and ending the game. You actually press "Exit Game" and it still shows you the ad for their other games and then there's another "Exit Game"..well that pushes my buttons the wrong way

A visual novel hiding behind pixel graphics and "point and click" gameplay. The graphics from the screens drew me in but there are only about 10 or less locations and some abysmal action (a silly puzzle, press a key repeatedly and that's it). You should never trust tags, especially in small "indie" games. It's quite short too, about an hour to complete, it has bugs like the arrow pointing to where to go to, disappearing, which then needs a game re-load and there are tons of better games for the price. I can't..

Maybe it's a good game.. but I can't enjoy it properly not being able to play on window-mode. There's this sillyness called "borderless window" (that you can't even move) which makes no sense for people who are used to proper-resizeable-movable windows, plus the dev(s) don't even bother to respond to questions about it.
It's a no.

EDIT: I'll wait for the next version and make a normal review if there's a proper window-mode. Cheers.

Enjoyable melancholic story, easy/medium puzzles, detailed graphics and convincing atmosphere, some scary elements but not horror level material, overall an enjoyable little title with its quirky time-travel element but.. bring down that Great price and Perhaps more people will get to it.. (2 coins should be about right)

Omit the tag "Action" and you'll be alright. The only animation consists of some graphical changes when things happen, e.g. some dies. You don't move. You make a few choices that change the ending. The story and delivery are fun to follow and that was enjoyable as was the music! Surprisingly it's quite good for such a title. But the price is definitely off, yep even for 3 coins it's too much. Few grammar errors and quite a short game (in content) that takes longer to finish because of the text delay.. but points for different endings.

Detailed and atmospheric art and a pleasing soundtrack are the better points of this game. The puzzles are quite easy and barely touching medium difficulty at times. Animation is adequate and the story is troubling, as a positive point, but doesn't break any new ground and could be more.. deployed. The pacing is slow. Didn't bump into annoying bugs/getting stuck etc. Very short game for the asking price but I enjoyed the experience (well.. given the story..) so it's a positive..reaction but certainly heavily discounted. Shouldn't be more than the 1 coin department.
