The game has almost no video options for resolutions! There is "small" which is ridiculously small to play (960x540!), "fullscreen" and "double window" (which is actually 4x the small-window-mode so in effect it's fullscreen with windowed borders). Basically there are NO options for people to play in windowed-mode. So it's a no..
If I ever play it in some existing mode.. I may write a review. This is just a cautionary tale.. in the year 2020 and you make a game without resolutions?..

Cute arcade game to spend an afternoon or two, or three.. Aim your bow with the mouse, shoot the bad pixels, get the girl -or hostage, whichever you prefer to call it- save the day. It's always day.. Few other modes like competitive with friends, or endless waves in "Colloseum", exist.
Quite a variety of levels, not too shabby in design, yes it's wee-pixely graphics, walk away if you have "pixel graphics" head issues like I have seen around.. Works fine with keyboard+mouse, responsive. Didn't bump into bugs. Sure there are games for less, with more content. Maybe on a sale. But it's fun if you're in that mood..

The split screen and move-between-screens mechanism is fun and confusing at the same time, but provides a nice challenge. Controls (keyboard at least) is responsive, music is alright, arcadey graphics..the atrmosphere is there. It's not a revolution in gaming but if you're looking for an arcade shoot'em up fix, while at a sale, it's a fun little game..
PS. Played it while it was free for some time..

Broken game.. If you are one of those players that detest skipping mini-games, do not play or buy this. It comes to a point of a mini-game that because people figured out the solution, they introduced a random number generator (the rune lights-on/off game) that makes the game unsolvable.
And frankly the rest of the game is not much to look at or play with.. Doesn't help that the HOG parts have some really small pieces that you pixel hunt for..

This is for making me wait 1+ hour in total, because the freeking game starts in some weird exclusive fullscreen mode and my firewall always wants manual confirmation (by choice) for anything that runs, and.. guess what.. the freeking game wouldn't allow messages to popup and got locked in some kind of black screen vicious circle. I couldn't even Alt-TAB or even CTRL+ALT+DEL out of it..Why oh WHY THE F.. do you start the game in weird exclusive mouse-lock fullscreen?
I really really dislike the game JUST for that, yes it's rage for wasting my time..
and I still haven't even played it..

PS. Review... The way the gameplay is designed, i.e. that you have to point the direction of the beam exactly where you want it to go, while moving around and the beam moves with you so you have to disconnect in your mind where you're headed and where the beam has to go.. makes the game un-fun. You play again and again and again each level (they're short so that's good) until you don't get confused by the blue/red beams' reaction. It's frustrating and makes you want to finish the level just to be done with it, after the many tries.
Some others may like this.. I don't..

Well, this is an extremely short "review". It's more of a statement: I haven't even played the game and it lets me review it, which I find quite idiotic. Here endeth the "review"!

• Morlan's shorts:

A fun little kind-of platformer but not strictly in that category. More of a fluid large screen action game. Each level scrolls in various directions and it can be disorienting to find the way and the exit, but not a problem most of the times. Movement is smooth, good control, cute and dark graphics, engaging music. The levels are quite varied and well designed (although the hidden bits can be a bit annoying to locate and reach). Most of them are fairly straight forward, ranging from easy to "let's try harder"and there are a couple.. eh.. could be less infuriating.
Short game, can be finished in a few hours, less than 5. Best to.. sale it out but worth a few coins..

A pure visual novel, without choices. Only a story. It's a good..horror..gory story..

The right "retro" qualities: Low-res graphics, 80s-synth music, hard levels, cheesy story.. all in a good way! Controls are responsive which is very much needed because keyboard-fu skills will be excercised. Levels appear simple but they are meticulously crafted. Plenty (a LOT) of cutscenes which is a nice touch and.. secrets and different endings!
Deserves more recognition and it's on sale every other Friday! Why don't you have it?

Seemed (good) silly at first, gave it a shot.. it only deserves to be shot (the game). It's crap..
Keep mouse button clicked and move up continuously. Wreck your mouse for nothing. This is what's wrong with steam and achievements at this point. None would touch this if it wasn't for the pointless achievements. Nothing is fun about the gameplay. Just put sword to minimum length and watch the "coronation". Has a few funny moments happening in the background.
NOp, even as free..
First free game I refunded.
(Oh.. and I couldn't even go "online" to see what that fuss is all about. Button was grey and couldn't connect)
