Valkyria Chronicles being one of my favorite games on the ps3, I was hyped when I heard it was getting a pc port and I'm glad to say that I was not left dissapointed.

Within the first minutes of playtime, I could tell that a lot of efforts have been put into the controls to make the experience for pc gamers about just as good as it was on ps3, if not better. It's highly intuitive, quite simplistic and easy to grasp of unless you have exorbitant standards ( or suffer of autism )

Performance wise, the game runs smoothly without any issues so far and I highy doubt that a high end system would be needed to run it in its full splendor. The framerate has been unlocked and can go up to 120 fps if your monitor can support it. Same goes for the resolution as the game now carry as high as 7680x4320 pixels.

Valkyria Chronicles would be well worth your money as it could take easily up to 35-40 hours to successfully complete the story. I would recommend to fans of JRPGs and specifically to fans of XCOM / Fire Emblem that are looking for a game with some similarities such as squad management and permanent death gameplay.


9/10 would buy again
