I went in with low expectations, I like a lot of people was really let down by Security Breach and its lackluster story, gameplay, and lack of horror. This game feels like Steel Wool trying to redeem itself.

While I only have one ending done, I can comfortably say I have played almost all of the game and had a very good time with it. I won't lie I still have a lot of story related questions, and I really hope this doesn't screw up the old fnaf games lore, but on a gameplay and prequal story level, its really well done. Had lots of moments that made me jump, my jaw hit the floor several times, you can tell this game was made for the fans of the series.

I've heard a lot of people comparing this game to Security Breach with the bugs people are facing, but I somehow managed to play through this entire game without a single bug. It felt really polished on my first play-through. I'm not saying that those claims aren't true, I know they are, but your mileage will very on this title.

The game runs fine on a modest PC, I have a 6700xt and a Ryzen 5500x and maintained a very solid 60fps at 1440p medium settings.

Is the game worth $40? If you've been playing every FNAF game near launch for the last decade, yeah absolutely, this game is for you. If you're more casual and just are interested in the game on its own, I'd wait for a sale.

My only big complaint I have with this game (other than the story kinda feeling like a retelling of the books at times) once you get an ending, you can not go back and choose another path to experience another ending. You have to replay the game from the beginning to get another ending. With this in mind, If you are reading this before playing on your own, please don't pick an obviously bad ending for you first play-through, I thankfully got an alright ending but am still a bit bummed I didn't get the true ending and have to go replay the game. The devs do let you keep all your collectibles when you start a new game (Its New Game +) but still, kinda a rough choice for a game that clearly has multiple endings at a single point, meaning you basically need two identical runs of a game to get both endings at a specific end point.

Other than that small rant above, I really enjoyed this game. Very proud of Steel Wool on this, Idk if they'll fully get my trust back after Security Breach, but you can tell they really are trying to win that faith back
