Early Access Review
V Rising makes Diablo 4 look like the knockoff.

I found this to be a really amazing sandbox ARPG/builder. It's similar to Diablo 4 in a very large hand crafted open world with base building as well. What I really liked was that it has both offline and online play, dedicated and private servers, PvE and PvP options available. I love all the choices that let you play exactly how you want to with no forced online requirement.

There's lots of fun abilities and talents to spec into, melee, ranged, magic, summon undead, shapeshift into animals, frost and unholy are my favorite. The sun is your enemy, it will kill you during the day but the world is so dense there's lots of shadows to walk under. You can easily travel during the day but fighting bosses can be difficult out in the open.

There's hundreds of plots in the open world where you can build your base, it feels a lot like "Vampirism Fire" from Warcraft 3 but over a much longer term instead of a quick match. Old bases decay over time if the player doesn't log in so there's no need for fresh servers. You can turn off decay in custom server settings or offline mode if you want.

The building system is very forgiving, you can make mistakes and undo them with full refunds. You can move any item you already placed, move containers without emptying them, you can redesign your base without losing materials, everything about this game has a high quality of life. You can also have 2 bases at the same time if you want to keep your items safe while moving to another one.

I was very surprised by this game, it's one of the better vampire games out there, while lacking an epic cinematic campaign I found the gameplay to be much more fun and at least during the early access the developers stayed true to their word adding all the content they promised.
