Literally can't close the game you have to kill it in task manager. Freezes up steam client as well

Game now closes without ctrl alt delete and doesn't freeze up steam. Now it's just boring

Something 40 levels under you WILL two shot you, it WILL ignore your death saves, and it WILL set you back multiple hours.

Beastiary is literally unplayable as a solo player. Game crashes approximately every third load screen - this becomes a serious problem considering the entire endgame content is a bunch of loading screens. I crashed at the end of Act 9 attempting to return to the Black Core after defeating the third member of the "Unholy Trinity", this caused the game to trigger the Black Core instance to attempt to load containing the Unholy Trinity while simultaneously backtracking me on the quest to summon it. So now my Black Core instance is stuck in a superposition of containing and not containing the Unholy Trinity causing the game to crash when attempting to unpack the Unholy Trinity models. Multiple repairs haven't fixed the issue, nor can a second person portal me to the Unholy Trinity or the uncompleted portals to the separate bosses The time investment of a 69 Templar lost to the mediocrity that is GGG. I used to love this game.


2022: Bestiary has been stable for a few years. Now GGG is just going the Activision route - not playtesting much of anything and throwing it on the player. We've seen 5 weeks of the league and 5 straight weeks of nerfs to the main league mechanic. Additionally, the difficulty disparity between various map bosses is insane. Sometime you'll fight a big chicken that occasionally shoots at you. Other times you get a psychopath that casts 3 times per second, constantly chases you with a one-shot leap slam, and constantly spams a healing immortal call with no boss mods on the map. Like I could kill the boss if I could find another 300% damage increase in my kit maybe, but I'm not even sure if that's possible.

TL;DR: Game turning into a cash grab, do not spend money on it
