This game is very short, but very, very good. It's a (sort of) Metroidvania where you only get two actual upgrades in the entire game. All the other "upgrades" are just puzzles that get you to figure out how to progress somewhere else. It's a concept that sounds simple, but is very difficult to execute, and this game does it flawlessly.
My playthrough took just about 90 minutes. It was a very good 90 minutes, though. $10 (or $8 right now) might seem a bit steep for a game that takes less than two hours, but think of it as paying for quality over quantity. I certainly don't regret it.
I have only two minor complaints. First, the options menu can be kind of hard to figure out due to using simple pictograms rather than words. I have no idea what a few of the options do. Second, I have no idea how I should pronounce the game's title when I will inevitably want to talk to people about it.

There's not much to say. It's roguelite minesweeper. It's niche to say the least, but if you think you might like it, you probably will.

What a waste.

Easily my game of the year. The year's not over yet, but I don't think anything's going to top this. Absolutely ingenious in multiple ways I can't even describe, because even mentioning them would constitute major spoilers. Play it.

It draws some pretty obvious visual and story inspiration from Hyper Light Drifter, but the gameplay is different (much slower) and it builds on that inspiration in ways that are, as far as I know, entirely unique.
As far as difficulty goes, it's probably about on par with Hyper Light Drifter, but in a different way. Sometimes a fight seems totally impossible. It's not. Either you just need to learn the pattern better, or you need to figure out the cheese.

I don't have all the achievements due to Proton bugging out and not giving them to me, but I've actually done a 100% run in this playtime. I should have all the achievements except the two missable ones.

Very fun little game. If you've watched the trailers, you already know basically everything about the gameplay, so nothing to say about that.
Be aware that it's very short. I have under 7 hours in the game and I have already completely 100%ed it. The developers are planning on adding new content, though, so perhaps that will change. But hey, $5 for 7 very good hours isn't a bad deal anyway.

Interesting premise and storytelling. Loved piecing together the story. Gameplay, music, puzzle design, etc. are VERY classic Cyan, other than the free movement, though I think this game is slightly easier than Myst. If you liked Cyan's earlier games, you'll like it.

Minor complaints:
It's easy to ring the doorbell, not wait long enough, and walk away, completely missing what the guy has to say, with absolutely no way of hearing it again other than restarting the game.
There's a lot of backtracking, especially in the maze puzzle, though the maze actually isn't too bad if you plan ahead properly. It probably sucks if you don't, though.
The twist in the last world is so laughably obvious, I thought it was a joke until the game actually required me to fall for it in order to progress.
The alien designs are pretty boring.

Also note that if you're playing it on Linux, use Proton GE. The videos don't work with default Proton and you will miss a lot of both lore and instructions.

I don't remember how I found out about this game, but I remember it was years before it released, and I couldn't wait for it to come out. I played the second demo countless times before the release date was even announced. I was very excited. My expectations were probably unreasonably high.

And it absolutely blew them away. Just play this game.

I'm not sure why I didn't review it before now. Guess I just forgot.

I think this is the most technically impressive game to have ever actually made it to any kind of public release. Unfortunately, the game design is quite a lot less impressive. I loved the game in closed alpha, but the whole economy and gameplay loop were completely changed on public EA release, to be much worse. I really hope the devs can get it back to a good state, but it's looking somewhat grim.

EDIT: Not that anyone's going to see this, but I want to complain about people claiming this game was a money grab. I would be willing to bet money that this game was a net loss, and probably a large one.
The game is bad, but it's not because the devs were malicious.
