I wanted to scold this game, but i remember that is not a triple A project. (This a french developers game without a outposts and lootboxes, btw)

But that's not objective, at first i want to pay attention on atmosphere. It's great. Dark, uncomfortable locations, immersing to old France. Plague, ♥♥♥♥, inquisition, et cetera.

Plot uses some pretty hackneyed tricks. We take a global ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up, a couple of relatives and immerse them in conflicts. Classics of teen fiction - a band of adolescents effectively resist trained adults.

Gameplay. It's a stealth. I love stealth, but in my understanding it fits well for immersive simulatiors, but not for line game. Step left, step right - ♥♥♥♥ you!
The stealth in this game makes you move and make decisions quickly, although the technical implementation sometimes hits the player in the face. (Characters want to speak, weapons isn't available, bruh)

The combat mechanics are quite interesting, multiple types of projectiles, the ability to set rats on other people's balls. But after few hours, you start to hate this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wheel. Control over rats appears quite late, although it looks quite interesting, the gameplay is not disclosed in my opinion.

The action is so nailed to the scripts that I had to reload from the checkpoint quite often.

Undoubtedly, this game much worse original Dark Souls, but that doesn't mean that it is bad. The only drawback of this game, that's what the plot was written after development. But still, it's same Dark Souls, in which the same gameplay and combat system (f*cking invaders!). And very good optimization.

A serious evaluation - 7.5/10.
