So I'd never played a hidden cat game before and only did so now because I got a review copy for my curator. It was a pleasant experience overall.

My first impression was that the game looked boring with its black-and-white drawings, but seeing the completed areas light up in colours was actually enjoyable. The music became repetitive fast, but finding cats and getting a sound signal for it was a bit satisfying.

There's a whole bunch of bonus levels you can unlock by doing the first one in advanced mode, and I enjoyed the unlocking process. Those bonus levels only become colourful after finding *all* the cats in the whole picture, which I found a bit of a shame. Some of the hiding spots were very cute though.

Searching for 100 specific people amongst lots of similar-looking people in a black and white picture full of stuff (the snowball fight bonus) felt more like a punishment than a "bonus" to me, so I gave up.

I don't think cat finding is my new genre, but this was a nice little xmas present.
