7/10
I recommend you buy this game on sale

Gameplay

Gameplay in this game is solving puzzles and climbing rocks and cliffs most of the time. Puzzles are not very hard which is good but unfortunately they are not that interesting either, after solving few of them they will get repetitive and if you don’t like solving them you’ll get frustrated by seeing another one of them, although not really puzzles but operating the ships were my favorite bits of gameplay in this game.

Then there are the climbing parts of the game which I know a lot of people don’t like and I understand why, climbing isn’t that much fun to do in this game it feels kinda awkward, that being said it wasn’t a deal breaker for me, there is one or two climbing sections that are kinda long and there is a time limit which is annoying but besides these I didn’t mind the rest that much.

This game certainly focuses more on the story than the gameplay. There are a lot of cutscenes in this game and some of them are quite lengthy, they want to focus more on the characters and environments rather than the gameplay, so if you just want to get to the action you probably won’t like this game.

Story

But is it worth playing for the story? I personally enjoyed the story, while I was playing I found myself upset at some of the characters and the decisions they made and felt sympathy for some, but in the end good or bad I did care about them and that I think is very important in a game like this.

As much as there are story cutscenes in this game, I think that the last hour or two could have used a little more, as some of the decisions some of the characters make feels sudden and there is not much room to let it breathe.

What about the other game?

If you are playing this game after finishing Deliver Us the Moon you should know that this game is more story driven than the first game, if you didn’t care about the story of the previous game I can’t recommend this one, but if you liked the story and want to know more about the characters and what happened to them I think you should try it.

If you didn’t play the first game I recommend you try it because it’s very good, but I guess it’s not necessary, throughout the game you can kinda put together what happened in the previous game.

I also thought the game looked great and a lot of places you visit feel different and the game does a good job of showcasing the size of some areas, like the sheer size of some of the ships you see, even some stations you go to feel and look great.
