Main problem I have with New Order is it's a bit too story-focused with boring hub chore missions in the middle section of the game that take you out of the action. With that said, it's about as good as a consolized, story-driven FPS can get. The pacing might actually be perfect for a lot of people, so there's that to consider. Base movement is fast, enemies feel good to shoot, the weapons are punchy, and the perk system tailors to your gameplay. Starts strong and ends strong with the final boss too, which is rare for an FPS.

8/10 - It's certainly worth playing if you're a fan of Wolfenstein and the FPS genre, so play it. I just wish New Colossus learned from this game's mistakes, not doubled down.

The peak of the new Wolfenstein games. Fewer scripted sequences and cutscenes interrupting gameplay makes for better pacing for those of us who prefer that sort of FPS. A weak beginning chapter with tedious forced stealth gives way to an incredibly atmospheric and faithful Wolfenstein experience for the rest of the game. Definitely recommend this game.

Satisfying combat and lots of replayability thanks to dedicated servers making it easy to hop into a match, as well as the variety of custom maps that were officially added in. It's still lots of fun, unlike being outraged on Twitter all day.

Massively underrated online PC FPS game in 2021. I get that it was probably garbage when it first came out, but as someone who started playing a few months ago, it deserves a larger playerbase. Some of the best maps I've seen, satisfying combat, and balanced champions. The only nitpicks I have is that the wait time in-between matches is too long, and it also takes too long to load up the game.

If you're experiencing abnormal FPS issues, just make sure you're using the old renderer "opengl1". The new one will tank your frames unless you have a decent PC.

With that said, this is the best mod for the best Wolfenstein game. It's worth it for the shotgun alone, and the weapon rebalances are also excellent. Grenades are no longer weak, your Mauser one-shots normal enemies even without the scope, and your Luger isn't a peashooter anymore. Many of the new weapons are actually really powerful and MORE ACCURATE than the stock weapons, which is good because the enemies are definitely buffed compared to the base game (not in a cancerous way like making everyone bullet sponges, just smarter and more accurate), so you'll need the extra stopping power. I also love the intregration of the Venom Mod. The textures are beautiful and true to the original game. New weapon models look fantastic, too.
Only complaint I've had throughout this mod's history is that you can't strafejump around the map 9000 mph like in the base game. I miss jumping through levels like an idiot and keeping your speed up. Sprinting with my knife out will have to do, I guess. (Edit: The mod creator updated the game to include the option to enable strafejumping again. It's under your "Controls --> Move" setting)
Overall, great work, and the best Wolfenstein experience I've ever had.

Loving it so far, first AFPS game I've played. Constant "HUHs" when you're bunnyhopping get annoying, but that's my only complaint.

One of my favorite games of all-time. Bots make it currently unplayable, though.
