The most fun I've had in a very long time!

Bright colours, energising music, colourful beans, skillful leaps, free battle pass, abundant cosmetics and a sprinkle of RNG... what more do you want!?

I could play this game all day long, it is just a big bucket of fun and win. There are a few optimisation issues at the moment. The servers crash every now and then, and your party members might not be able to join a new game with you, but these issues are grains of dust relative to the fun this game provides.

Bought both DLCs, a game of this quality for £15 seems like a steal when Triple A titles are £50 and you're done with most in 20 hours.

Come, jump in!

Truly immersive and fun especially when played with friends. There have been some pretty massive updates that doubled the contents of the game over the years, I would expect these updates to keep coming.

Bastion, a wonderful and unique story telling game with enough choices available for tailoring your gameplay to your specific style.

Gameplay
You wake up to a world which is falling apart. Your actions are narrated by a professional narrator, some may like or dislike this. I found it strange at first, but it grew on me and I liked it. You get weapons and abilities for each weapon, you smash things and collect shinies to make better weapons and abilities. You also have the choice to do some challanges which will unlock better upgrades for your favourite weapons and some of them are actually challanging! It all feels satisfying and simple enough for anyone to pick up.

Visuals and Sounds
This game has fantastic artwork, animations, sound effects and an equally fantastic original soundtrack. I personally think the best part about this game is the presentation, the croaky narrator who makes you feel badass through the game, the beautiful and nasty places you go through while fabulously smashing things and enemies to their respectful pieces and the amazing music which completely works in harmony with everything else. If you appreciate art, you should definitely play this game.

Story
The story will not be direct and you are left with a lot of unexplained things in the beggining, which slowly unravel. It isn't exceptionally written, but it is above the ordinary and it will keep you curious enough to complete it. You will have a big choice at the end, so you can complete this game at least twice.

Interfaces and mechanics
Very pretty, matching the artistic qualities of the main aspects. Everything works smoothly and just as expected.

In a nutshell; you will be smashing, collecting, upgrading, completing tests and finding out about the Bastion in a beautiful environment with smooth controls and satisfying combat, all topped off with narration to make you feel awesome as the amazing soundtrack is entertaining your eardrums. I highly recommend it.
