I really wished there's a "Neutral" option - I do appreciate the perspective of a singleplayer mahjong game - but at this time I can't say this is a good mahjong game.

Gameplay

The game feels basic. Sure, the UI and the system left much to be desired, but most importantly the AIs don't play like real players. They way they play is extremely robotic and they don't care about the board at all. It appears to me they only care about tile efficiency (that is, making their hand asap), without thinking whether their discards could deal in to someone or feed into someone's hand.

What's wrong with that, you might say. Well in a normal mahjong game with real players you hardly see someone running headlong into other people's riichi's or feed their half/full suites. Doing so is a surefire way to lose a game. Whomever tenpai first has a good chance of winning due to AI having zero care about the board.

And funny enough AIs do seem to have unexplained advantages - they sensei riichi (that is, early riichi) a lot, and their hands often time are pretty nice. Now I don't claim the game is rigged, but somehow 9 out of 10 my hand is very bad (no dora, bad shape, 3+ away from tenpai). If I play defensively when someone sensei riichi, haha it doesn't matter because other AI will deal in to them. It's just unfun to play passive just to get a 2nd or 3rd.

UI

The UI is basic, as you can see in the screenshot. But I don't care, after all Tenhou also features a similar minimalist UI. What I can't get behind is that the game somehow fuses this basic UI with anime characters and animated riichi-ron effects. It's kinda... tacky imho. I also don't care about the comments at the end of each match (with one claiming "the game is rigged" every time he loses looooooool). I'd like to have options to turn them off at least.

The layout of the screen makes it difficult to get information at a glance. Contemporary mahjong games like Tenhou and Mahjong Soul has a square in the center that indicates scores, current wind/round, player winds, current dealer, remaining tiles and riichi sticks/repeats. All (or mostly) in one neat square. This game manages to split them into 6 places you have to look at, which makes this simple process somehow tedious.

It also occurred to me that I have a hard time realizing there's a call waiting for me. An audio cue would be nice. Basic convenience features like auto ron/no calls/tsumogiri would be appreciated too.

And please, it's not hard to have a decent looking mahjong tile xD the current form looks like it's made out of iron ingots.

Conclusion

I hardly write in-depth reviews for games, but I really want this game to succeed and attract more people to learn mahjong. It's decent for tutorial purposes, but other than that the game falls short. I know the game is cheap and not made by a team of 100 employees, please take these input as a constructive criticism than an insult. The game would be much better if these issues are rectified.
