So, i played this, left a review recommending it and now i'm back to elaborate a little more.
Sure, story wise borderlands 3 isn't as great as borderlands 2. If you truely are here only for one game and one good story then go for borderlands 2.

HOWEVER,
Borderlands 3 is by far the best when it comes to gameplay and mechanics. it's just everything from the precious games but better and smoother and more.
Borderlands is a game that in my opinion had up's and down's and i feel like most people forget that borderlands 1 was absolute garbage apart from the nice gameplay and unique style. the only reason why we accepted that a looooot better is because that was the start and after that they upgraded with borderlands 2 and now we have games in which the story is a little less great and everyone is against it.
But here is what i think.
Borderlands 1 was a introduction with just enough to enjoy so that with borderlands 2 they could really kick off with a good and original story. And i think with borderlands 3 they again try to show us the beginning of something bigger and greater.
I'll be here to see what they will bring us with borderlands 4 but i'm pretty sure it's gonna be amazing.
