The perfect blend of new and old mh. Has the qol changes from world but the old school questing system of old mh. is much more fast paced but has a ton of monster variety, levels are not confusing to navigate.

Kenshi is a sandbox rpg. There is no questline or objectives provided, it is up to your imagination to play how you want. Kenshi gives you all the tools and resources to play as a explorer, bandit, slave trader, hunter, travelling merchant and more.

Kenshi will make you feel like a pathetic loser who can barely swing a sword or run for his life. All your stats will be 0 when you start, however every action you perform makes your character better at it; running away? your athletics inproves, swing a sword? your attack and attack speed improves… Hell get your ass beaten to a bloody pulp lying in a pool of your own blood? your toughness will improve from literally taking a beating. Kenshi then adds a ton of layers to these mechanics, for example if are wearing heavy armour your atheltics decreases resulting in running slower. Wearing no armour increases your toughness more than if youre wearing heavy armour as you take more damage.

Kenshi has a really good health system. All your limbs act as seperate pools of health. if your arm takes to much damage, it goes limp and you cannot use two handed weapons, if you leave it to long youre at risk of losing your arm if you dont heal it. this applies to your legs which I am sure you can figure out what happens. Your vital limbs are your head, chest and stomach, if they take to much damage you go unconscious for as long as 1 hour real time, thats if you arent patched up… did I say that you can die and the game doesnt care? thats right, if you die you just look at your characters rotting corpse as the game continues on its day.

Kenshis map is massive being something like 800 square kilometers.

My first playthrough was a lone wanderer, eventually i receuited a few people and dressed them in raggid dirty clothes, we became dirty raiders who killed and kidnapped on sight, taking our victims to our base, locking them up and keeping them just alive, eventually trading them off.

So in conclusion, Kenshi is a game that gives you the tools and resources to play how you want, your imagination is your limit.

Extremely faithful to the original, has all the charm and quirks from the original. A fantastic remaster that is slightly hindered by stuttering due to UE5.

this elder scrolls game is really good if you like slow burn games. combat, dialogue and travel isnt like oblivion and skyrim. combat is role diced depending on weapon stats, agility, luck and stamina. dialogue has no voice so you have to read everythung and the game is very text heavy. no fast travel unless you find vendors who offer you a ride to places.

music is fantastic however some of the music tracks dont fit some areas like walking around and it could be playing something very upbeat when ambient music would be better fitting.

the world looks so good and feels very atmospheric, especially when it starts thunderstorming or it gets foggy.

People who say the graphics are outdated. i do agree on a technical pov but games these days are using different art styles and even using janky old school graphics like morrowind, plus i think morrowinds graphics add charm. sometimes super realistic isnt the best.

If you want a classic rpg where you take your time, read allot, enjoy levelling up stats, slow burn… this game will be up your alley. its great buuut i would have to say not the best elder scrolls game.

I love this game, I always come back to it and just get lost in the universe, the space anomoly and all the features and events they have added to the game. Sometimes i'll be in the mood to travel across planets hunting down abandoned ships, repairing or salvaging them for scraps. Maybe I am in the mood to build a base, farm or underwater lair. Or i'll customize the looks, skills and features of my weapon and suit. You can go fishing now, you can become a space pirate, you can explore abandoned freighters or claim one. There is a massive multiplayer hub now where you can socialize with other players and go on missions together. It's very overwhelming how much content there is now. I played over 400 hours on xbox and am waiting to get my cross save accepted to continue it on steam.
