Wonderful! Graphics beautiful. Story captivating. The game made me question my moral choices and ask over and over again whether I found the right person guilty. Overall an enjoyable experience for any fan of Sherlock and/or crime solving.
The only aspect I did not particularly like was the balancing and overhearing mechanic, combining movement keys and mouse. It was not impossible to control both those at once, but it was very annoying. One second of looking somewhere else and Sherlock could be entirely off balance. It is possible to figure out over time how sensitive this mechanic is, but it took time and was making me a little impatient.
I also wish the game was longer and had more cases, but that only suggests how much I enjoyed it.

A very beautiful indie game with an interesting plot. However, the difficulty is a bit too high at certain levels, which causes a lot of frustration and spoils the pleasure. It also makes the game seem overly long, especially towards the end. I was expecting an ending multiple times, but it wasn't coming. During the last three levels I was praying for it. It may be slightly ulcer-inducing, unless you're super dexterous. I recommend, but with a warning - the game is meant for the patient.

Such an amazing game, with sinister atmosphere, bordering on terrifying. I bought it on a hunch and I have no regrets. The world of Swedish folklore sucks you right in and lets you out richer in new, slightly unsettling knowledge... Very interesting indeed. I recommend using headphones for this game, not only because of the better scare some sound effects will give you, but also because some puzzles are based on sound, following voices, etc. Overall, I think Year Walk combines certain elements which make it so alluring, maybe not to everyone, but definitely to me - it has puzzles, mystery, mythology, a little bit of horror, great soundtrack, amazing, haunting graphics - I could just go on and on. What's not to love?
