One of the best FPS I've played in years. Still worth a play here and there, but no updates / content / etc.

♥♥♥♥ you Hi-Rez for abandoning it.

Although I have not finished the game, I must say that already it's been one of the most immersive RPGs I've ever played. Don't let the graphics fool you - although the game may be subpar in graphical performance it's excellent plot, writing, soundtrack, customization, and multiple character classes make this a game that I'm sure I'll put in almost as much time as I have in games such as Skyrim.

The game starts off basic enough, and is very easy to pick up. However, as you progress through the game even on Normal difficulty, you will find that there is much to learn and the difficulty quickly increases. The last few battles are pretty damn epic, although I haven't done the last one.. yet.

I'd highly recommend this to any RPG or strategy game fan, as it has elements of both.

Absolutely great game. Sunk wayyy too many hours into it. It can be a bit buggy and crash a lot, but if you do your research you can really limit this.

First, if you're going to do any modding you absolutely need to patch the game to allow it to run more than 4gb of memory. Google "Fallout New Vegas Memory Patch" .. it'll be part of an ENB package which is very easy to setup. If you simply read the directions and follow step by step, you can't screw it up. With the memory patch and 30+ mods installed, I've gone on 4+ hour long marathons without a single crash.

As far as the story, it's rather weak in comparison to the epic that was Fallout 3. However, this game was released rather quickly and in my opinion the overall better combat system (especially the improvements to Melee & Unarmed) make it more than worth it. It's about as close to a Skyrim-esque feel as you can get on this engine without completing porting it over.

Although the gameplay is great, it is even further improved by mods. First thing anyone should do is install FOOK2. Even for your first time play through. The enhancements are nearly necessary to have the best possible playthrough.

ENB + FOOK2 + Weather mods + texture mods + weapon mods = heaven
