I am ashamed to say that I might never finish this game despite judging it very highly! Not only it is very scary (admittedly I am a scaredy-cat in fiction) but also it ends up being quite challenging: the survival and repetitive nature of it make it more tedious than I can afford time-wise but also effort-wise. Does that make me a casual gamer? maybe for this sub-genre of horror-meets-survival.
But who cares! If you don't mind indie level of design, if you don't mind an art style that is very black and white (grey), if you don't mind a very old school top down view ala GTA 1 or Hot Line Miami, if you don't mind some gruesome horror ala Lovecraft... OR, if you love all that (which I do!), then you will LOVE this game. Rarely have I seen such an atmospheric, eerie yet oppressive feel in a game of such category. I would imagine more that in a game like Silent Hill and the like. But here? it completely works!
It is sad (for me, at least- not objectively) that they mixed all that amazing recipe with the very overused survival/crafting genre that took gaming design for the past 15 years or so, as it makes the whole experience a bit tedious and frustrating. Many players will love it though! so don't let yourself deterred by that unless you hate these mechanisms.

If you remember old games such as Alone in the Dark trilogy, if you love top down view such as GTA 1, if you love a good lovecraft/silenthill/davidlynch atmosphere, this game is a little gem of exploration, anguish, survival and lore. I wish I could go on and finish it (maybe one day on stream with some help?), until then, I can only promote it and its devs, a very unique, dark and mesmerising experience.
