RuneScape, a game I've spent the last 15 years playing. While many think of RuneScape and think RuneScape 2 in the 2005-2007 era, RuneScape 3 is a nice and refreshing update on an amazing classic. Don't just take my word for it, popular Twitch streamer Shroud has even said that RuneScape 3's updates are preferred as it's something different from the original game that we've all played. The modern combat mechanics, updated graphics, new skills, new quests, new bosses, new areas to explore, and modern day game settings make RuneScape 3 very enjoyable to play, and still maintains that classic feel at it's core, making it different from the usual MMORPG and remaining true to what it is.

It's a grindy game with many skills to train, and believe me it takes a while to max them out, but the feeling you get when you finally hit 99 or 120 and put on that skill cape is very worth it. If you like the grind in an MMORPG, this game is for you. There's a ton of quests, areas to explore, bosses to kill, and things to accomplish. You'll be very busy trying to do all that you can, it may even take you several years! The world is very well made, it's easy to get distracted exploring every area that you come across. There's tons of items, armor sets, weapons, amulets, rings, artifacts, etc. I still don't even think I know them all! And each one feels special, different from the rest. The dialogue in the game has a ton of humor and references to things like popular movies, while still managing to be serious and interesting. Most quests, like Desert Treasure (One of my favorites) are so fun to play though because the amount of effort put into them is incredible, and the lore is super interesting. You truly feel as if you want to explore the entirety of each quest area, and know everything you can about them. You feel as if you're actually doing something special, something that changes the game. RuneScape is a fun, unique game. I'd definitely say it's worth your time. Give it a try, I promise you'll love it.

Good luck in Gielinor, friend!

My childhood, finally playable on pc through Steam! Definitely recommend this to anyone that loved this and JSRF back in the day. It's back and better than ever. Smooth gameplay, great graphics, amazing controller support. 10/10. (It's playable with mouse/keyboard but highly suggest playing with an Xbox controller, a lot easier and enjoyable with one) Don't think about it, buy this game!
