BLOG POST: Because I have absolutely no one else I can tell this to, I want to share the news that I have been practicing oboe every day for a month. I figured that I still am terrible at having a consistent time with the darn thing. Last Monday at rehearsal the band director told everyone else to play softer so the oboe solo would be heard better. He said it sounded really good, except I have to be quicker on the grace notes. It made me feel the work is paying off, even though I am still bad.
