Early Access Review
I like the game. The biggest barrier to entry, in my opinion, is the slow ramp up from the start. Expect at least two weeks of relatively idle play. I can understand how this would deter new players. But, if you are looking for a laid back experience like I was, you won't mind. It will take many months for me to build an empire and that seems like an acceptable pace for a real-time market MMO.

It's obvious that FromSoft doesn't take their PC ports seriously. If you want ultrawide resolution support in 2022, don't get this game. They render the game in ultrawide resolutions, then add black bars so you can't utilize it. Stuttering is bad, per other reviews. Frame cap is locked to 60 fps. In 2022. You can fix the ultrawide and fps issues with a simple mod, but then FromSoft will flag you as a cheater. For using your own PC hardware.

It is an excellent game. Fun, challenging, and good multiplayer. What it has over it's older predecessor, TM 2, is that they've finally merged all of their "environments" into one game, which is what they should've done with TM 2. The lack of dedicated servers, however, is a MAJOR step down. They could add enough features to their multiplayer servers to fix this, but those features aren't available on launch.

It's a solid concept, but doesn't have enough content to justify the price tag.

If you liked Geometry Wars 2, then you are going to love the third installment even more. The arcade adventure mode has dozens of levels (50 I think?), each unique in its own way. Think of them as 50 new modes to spend hours and hours on. Seriously, some of these levels will just mess with your head and have you restarting over and over again. They are very challenging, and even the most hardcore arcade gamers will be impressed. You thought playing on a plane was hard? Try a sphere. Also, all of the modes (pacifism, king of the hill, etc) from geometry wars 2 are present. It has local co-op and online play.

I do, however, recommend a game-pad, even though the mouse controls are good.

Honestly, this game has it all. Worth at least $30. What a steal.
