First 6 hours roughly, it's a bit shocking how well this transitions to third person, it's arguably even more chaotic and a legit upgrade to the prequel.

Actually shockingly fun, not sure how well it keeps up in the endgame, but the potential is insane if they keep at it.

The combat aspect is a bit scuffed (in MP) though, similar to how in Ark or Conan you'd have teleporting mobs at times or animation not fully playing (an attack already being fired off, but you didn't properly see an animation yet or it's kinda cut off), so on that front it's clearly very early access. Uncertain if that's something they can even fix properly (given how other survival games still struggle with this).

Aside from that, actually great. The map itself and the loot rewards you can find around the map is amusingly enough what surprised me the most, very enjoyable to explore IMO.

Playing this made me appreciate Star Citizen again.

Surprisingly fun gameplay loop, the "mixed" reviews are a bit misleading if you take away from them that the game itself isn't enjoyable.

1. The F2P model obviously has certain annoyances with battle passes, shop/currency purchases left and right, the UI/Menus are quite overwhelming to me in that regard. So anything outside of the game is kinda bad.

2. I'm also not a massive fan of the game modes so far, the For Honor like "capture the points" (Dominion in FH) has some quite annoying maps and the gameflow is odd with a stack of doom of players moving across the map rushing things down.

With that out of the way, the actual combat system is very enjoyable, don't go in expecting a high skill ceiling similar to Mordhau, but it certainly has enough skill expression that "spamming" isn't viable, a better player will always win the duels, there's no odd random/luck factor about it at all. You are usually able to pull off a win being outnumbered as well, because the average playerskill is quite low currently.
Anyone claiming there's "no" skill expression genuinely does not understand how the combat system works, parrying gives you frame advantage on a counter for instance which effectively prevents spam, as just one example of basic combat systems.

Tl;dr: Enjoyable, but the longevity is questionable, hoping the devs stay at it, improve MM (let me pick a game mode for one) and overhaul the gameplay flow. At least a solid 7/10.

Did not anticipate to enjoy the game as much as I did given the premise, but against friends (actually even the AI somewhat too) it's quite enjoyable. That said you need to enjoy the RP aspect of it and have fun with it IMO.

Really good.
